Yes.I don’t know if the 2-3 zone has become a dinosaur in the current game of 3-point shooting or we just don’t have players who are effective in playing the 2-3 zone.

I agree. Id give him a choice. End it now or we are announcing next year is your last year. Your call coach. We aren't going to hire Pitino but I am enthused that SUTOMCAT said that he thought Wildhack is looking to go big. We are, or we used to be Syracuse. I would like to be again. As you know, I am old. I don't have years to waste on rebuilding this thing. I have about 14 ncaa tournaments to go. Maybe a few more but I might not be me then. If it was my choice right now, I would tell jb this is it. Sadly,, in a former life, I had to let people go. The worst thing but necessary. And I would hire Pitino or someone else and try to fix this thing before it gets too late.
Corey Alexander obviously trolling us said he wants Boeheim to get to 50 years coaching.
He's so predictableIn his post game comments on the flagship network he said he was really disappointed in the rebounding from the center position.
You simply can’t make this up. His starting forwards got one more rebound than a dead man in many more minutes.
Just ridiculous. He is genetically incapable of critiquing certain players. And no, not just his sons, but Joe and Cole’s criticisms are so much milder than some others. What gives w/ this guy, anyway? In his post game comments on the flagship network he said he was really disappointed in the rebounding from the center position.

I thought we looked like a low major. Like a Kennesaw St. or somebody brought in by a P5 school in November for a pay game.We are Syracuse and we looked like a mid major out there. Stop the madness.
Look at the bright side, our women's hockey team is in the NCAA's and our women's lacrosse team is 4-0 with 3 wins vs. ranked teams including wins over #2 and #3Yeah, he enjoys the status quo. His UVA hoops team generally owns us as well as the UVA lax team did today. What a brutal day for SU sports. Honestly, I can't ever remember when we have been so relatively irrelevant in football, hoops and lax all at the same time.
He played Benny because he knew if he made mistakes it wouldn't cost us a win. He knew the game was over at 31-9 so the was no harm w letting Benny play through his normal mistakes, except Benny contributed and showed a pulse, it was a good game from him. But watch if it's close game, he's back to a short leash I bet. Will be interesting to see if Benny gets major minutes the next 2 games or if he goes back to the bench like today didn't happen.
What I don't get is people who think JB's snarky statements and his substitutions make a bit of difference. That's like arguing over who should be first violin on the Titanic. What don't you get? We haven't been ranked in the regular ACC season since 2014. That isn't acceptable to a lot of us. Its a combination of things. The recruiting misses aren't just a coincidence.
It’s both. If you have freakish athletes they should be playing m2m as a base defense but still grasp basic zone concepts.I don’t know if the 2-3 zone has become a dinosaur in the current game of 3-point shooting or we just don’t have players who are effective in playing the 2-3 zone.
And just maybe thats why Jim isnt able to recruit elite talentWhat I don't get is people who think JB's snarky statements and his substitutions make a bit of difference. That's like arguing over who should be first violin on the Titanic.
Top kids assume they'll dominate any situation. Either they like JB, the campus, the weather, the dome, the NIL options, the girls they see, the opportunities to be seen, or they don't. Benny, with all of his options, and Some pretty decent 2022 grads, liked what they saw so we might have a pretty good next year.
I'm not arguing about whether or not JB should go. I'm saying the problem is bigger than how many minutes KR or Symir gets or if he favors his kids.
Seems to me someone had a talk with him a handful of games back about publicly bashing players by name. That convo has worn off.In his post game comments on the flagship network he said he was really disappointed in the rebounding from the center position.

I think it’s more he knew if he left the starting forwards in we might give up 150 in the game and he had to try something. He only makes changes when there is no other option, like with Jesse last year.He played Benny because he knew if he made mistakes it wouldn't cost us a win. He knew the game was over at 31-9 so the was no harm w letting Benny play through his normal mistakes, except Benny contributed and showed a pulse, it was a good game from him. I'm often wrong, but at no point today from the moment I got up did I feel that we had a chance to win today. That never used to happen.
I think I mentioned before, I saw Bunch play. He scored 2 pts in a high school game. And would have had trouble guarding me. Bad knee and all. I think he will be good down the road. But not next year. And he is right there being the best recruit we have. What I don't get is people who think JB's snarky statements and his substitutions make a bit of difference. That's like arguing over who should be first violin on the Titanic.
