Potential 2025-26 Roster

Yep, I want a true SF that is a 3 point shooter. Anything we get from Donnie there will be a plus. And, Sadiq can sub in at either forward position, even if we lose a 3 point threat. If he comes in for Donnie, he can be a defensive demon and rebounder. If he subs in for the 3 and plays along with Donnie, he can be that same defensive demon and rebounder and allow Donnie to float to the 3 a bit. But, the two of them together should control the boards along with the right center while that transfer 3 gets a blow. Then that 3 comes in for Donnie and pushes Sadiq to the 4. That starts to sound like a rotation.

That's how I see it, too. Ideally, Donnie gets some time at the 3, but mostly I want to see him the high post. He can pick and pop, to get great 3 point opportunities from in front of the backboard, or he can roll to the rim. He can shoot from the foul line area. So many ways to use him.

He and Saddiq can play together for maybe 10 minutes a game, if you have an Elijah Hughes kind of SF, a Jesse Edwards+ at Center, and Petar as the backup. And, yes, you still have room for a situational shot blocker, too. That's a very good rotation, and Wilcox has a year to learn and develop.

Still would need a really really good PG and another wing shooter like that mid-major kid people were talking about the other day, the 6-5 kid from Drexel. Not sure if he's a starter or not, but he looks like a good prospect.

I agree whole heatedly. The word I want at both PG and SF and hopefully Center is LEADERSHIP. Guys that have won, want to win, and demand winning basketball of their piers. Donnie is REALLY talented, but he isn't going to be led by JJ and JJ requires that leadership as well.

So people will be nicer to me again considering I said Donnie coming back since game 10? That would be awesome lol

To be fair, you were hedging it as being a coin flip as recent as a week ago.

This guy just noticed that? Heck every program has become a farm system for other programs. We lost MaliQ last year bet the Bonnie’s didn’t and shouldn’t have cared - they lost their center Chad Venning this year to BC where he also started so not too smart if it took Patrick this long to notice.

I don't remember the exact criteria but I remember when we played Louisville they were talking about Kelsey's criteria and it was something like only looking at Top 100 KenPom teams or teams that finished > .500. It was really interesting.

Maybe that cost is in line, and I guess he's better than what we've had, that's for sure.

But another poor outside shooting lead guard is not exactly what I'm hoping for.
Watching some of his game film, he has a very nice stroke. Of course, highlights show him knocking down some threes. Has very good court vision and is a smooth ball handler. Good size at 6’4”.

6th in the country in minutes last year. 30% from 3…… but much better passer than JJ

We’re done. A poor shooting 2 guard. There are more big names than ever out there this yr, and we are getting a poor shooting A10 player as a potential starter
