Potential 2025-26 Roster

I hope not. He's not good enough inside or from 3 to be the high usage guy on offense.
You probably recall a player named Mart Byrnes who many said the same thing about. Not as naturally talented as Donnie and he was a couple of years older, but he became out go-to-guy as a power forward and he was a darn good one.

so when are we getting news on who is back and who's gone?

after the NCAAT I presume?
Portal window is from March 24th to April 22nd. We’re technically 8 days away from it opening, even though several players (nationally) have declared their desire to enter the transfer portal. Activity will pick up in about a week.

Drafted in the first round of the NBA draft by Phoenix. Was a real good overall player who stepped up in his last year. Should have been the MVP in the Carrier Classic but that went to a Michigan State player (losing team) named Earvin “Magic” Johnson.

Showing my age and respect.

Does anyone know if Red promised Sadiq White he would start?

If Red really wants to keep his job, and I think he does, he should retain Freeman and start Freeman at PF with White off the bench playing good minutes. White is defense and dunks right now.

Then 4 new starters from the portal. None of our freshmen start but White gets significant minutes, Kiyan and Fennel get decent minutes, and Womack practices.
Start Donnie at the 3. It's what he wants

First time we ever saw JB REALLY mad.

Marty Byrnes was tough. I remember him outplaying Magic Johnson in that December tournament we hosted (and getting hosed on the MVP award). Pretty sure that was Magic's freshman year, and he won the title as a soph.

Didn't we get Rautins as a transfer from the MSU team with Magic? I think so but at my age some details get hazy.

Watching SJU, no matter what the roster looks like, we can not be SJU. They are tough. They are well coached. They make me sad.

I thought Rautins came from Minnesota, but I could be wrong. Haven't looked it up.

It depends on how good the PG and C were. They have to be leaders, ready to be the stars of the team. And we'll still need more 3 point shooting.
Essentially, they would have to be coaches on the floor, to make up for the lack of coaching. I apologize for being so cynical, but I have zero faith in our coaches' ability to teach offense and defense.
