It is.
Great to know. I've been to the one in DC and it's just not the same. I was at Fado frequently when I lived in Atlanta in the late 90's.

Fado moved (4 years ago) off of Peachtree St due to a new mixed use development that needed the space...still in Buckhead, in a new building...it now has 3 floors including a rooftop deck.Great to know. I think I am going to UMd, GT and FSU, so it really doesn't matter to me which is the Fine Lot event. The GaTech Tix guy responded...group rates start at 20+ seats and get progressively cheap at 50+ seats and then 100+ seats. Pricing will be announced soon.

Did some preliminary checking...looks like it will be a lot cheaper to fly into Orlando or Tampa and drive North than fly into Tallahassee. Jacksonville would also be considerably cheaper.
Tallahassee is about 269 miles from Orlando, Tampa about 285 (242 if you dare not drive on Interstates) and Jacksonville 174 miles. On the random weekend I selected in mid October, it was about $500 to fly into Tallahassee, about $400 to fly into Jacksonville and about $250 to fly into Orlando or Tampa.
There are deals under $200 to be had for Orlando and Tampa if you are flexible on dates. I think I am going to end up flying in from one of those cities.
Tallahassee is an awful town, why don't you do NCSU instead?

Thanks as always Mark for doing what you do, making it so much easier for SU fans to do road trips (and ensuring the experience people get is as good as possible).
WAR DAMN OTTO! ROCK THE DAMN ACC!
We took a family trip to Panama City when I was younger. A tough airport to get to, and we ended up spending a wasted night in Memphis on the way down. It is an easy drive from there to Tallahassee and we went for an FSU-Clemson basketball game. The atmosphere was basically the opposite of what it'll be for football.A couple other places to check on to fly into are: Dothan, AL; Ft Walton Beach, FL; Atlanta, GA and even New Orleans are other possibilities. Not sure what the costs are for those locations, but those are at least other options. You can also check Panama City, FL, but that is typically more expensive than the other local/regional airports.
New Orleans to Tallahassee is 385 miles. Given that New Orleans is expensive and hard to get to from Syracuse anyway, I think that is a non starter. Atlanta is a more reasonable 266 miles and one of the rare places you can fly direct to from Syracuse. A quick look at prices indicates it is about in line with Jacksonville; around $400. If I was willing to pay $400, I would opt for Jacksonville and the shorter drive.A couple other places to check on to fly into are: Dothan, AL; Ft Walton Beach, FL; Atlanta, GA and even New Orleans are other possibilities. Mark, keep me in the loop. We may be able to combine with the Atlanta alumni club to potentially get lower prices. The GaTech Tix guy responded...group rates start at 20+ seats and get progressively cheap at 50+ seats and then 100+ seats. Pricing will be announced soon.
Pretty sure the lowest price is for 100+ tix. Ask the Alumni club how much they'll charge after the group rates are known. I'd rather have one group 300 fans versus two groups of 150. Also ask if they want to work with me...but I'll be bringing in non alumni.Mark, keep me in the loop. We may be able to combine with the Atlanta alumni club to potentially get lower prices.
