JB's infamous 2-3 zone. Was reading through all the articles and I remember reading about teams who have never played against JB's zone go through the motions in practice but they are never really fully prepared for the speed, size and diversity of the JB zone defense.

However, coaches and teams that have played against us numerous times and have the talent to overcome it will break it down and win against us like Lville and Pitt (our fellow BE teams coming in). The newest ACC teams are in for the same shock as we will be in for the GT offense tomorrow.

The difference is that the talent level is not on the same level for GT football as it is for SU basketball.

We should win this game as long as we are even or better on turnovers. Should be closer scoring game than NC State but we win in the final minutes of the 4th quarter 27-23. LGO!

I think you hit the right note.

Systems are fine but talent usually makes the system work.

I suspect that in this case Ga Tech has enough talent to make the system dangerous.

So we will have to play a really good game to win - no mistakes, tackle well, dominate the OL.

We used to run this system. We've seen it beat comperable talent by 20 and weve also witnessed it lose to comperable or lessor talent by 20. In theory the triple is easy to defend. In reality, 1 slip or 1 mental breakdown can equal a 20+ yard gain. The easy answer is to hit all 3 potential ball carriers on every play and wrap up when you get there.

The quote from GT's coach after the last game, something to the effect that SOME of his players were giving effort, said a lot. There is a lot of dysfunction behind that comment. I'm more hopeful for a win here than I was before the season started.

Agree. And of all that, it is the "no mistakes" part I worry about most.
