Preseason Camp Thread

Maybe so. I plan on switching between; scouting the UConn Huskies, and seeing how Tommy fares with a B1G O-Line in front of him.
I know it's just one man's opinion but I saw a ranking of projected starters for all of D1.

Tommy was listed 113th, just ahead of Roberson from UConn.

Shrader was listed like 74th. They said his legs are some of the best in college football but his arm is too unreliable for him to be higher.

Then athlon had Tommy at 96 and Shrader at 81.

I think both will benefit from a fresh season.

I'm not a betting man; and I'm sure that SOS factors into this, but I'd lay money that both will rate higher than those numbers.

Devito will have a solid season if IIlinois run the ball well and use play action pass. It will get messy If Tommy is forced to throw a lot and bring them back from deficits

Curious to see what happens when he has to improvise. Every QB has to at some point.

I didn’t catch the extra day off during the week (Thursday; in addition to the normal off day: Sunday). I think that is a very good call for recovery purposes and hopefully helps us as the start of the season rapidly approaches.

I recently saw on Twitter that Davido was held out of Illinois most recent scrimmage. I’m not sure he’s been involved in much live hitting of the quarterback other than actual games. We certainly limited it here. And it seems like they’re limiting it in Illinois as well.

Whomever tweeted that was wrong. He, along with several other players, were pulled halfway through the scrimmage because they play their first game this coming Friday.

I don't think they were off on Thursday. Wednesday was suppose to be closed to media but they switched things around and Wednesday was open and Thursday closed.

The article stated they were off and meetings were cancelled. A movie theater was rented for the team, but I am disappointed they didn’t say which movie they watched.

Probably Beast or Bullet Train

One consistent theme from the su provided content is that the players are loose and having fun. Could be propaganda, but it’s a good attitude to have if it reflects the truth. Practice tight, play tight.

It’s what I’ve noticed with the bills, seems like a bunch of good guys that have fun playing together. I hope it’s the same here.
