Who was the guard in the Marrone era who moved to center out of necessity? He could not get the hang of shotgun snaps. The team avoided shotgun plays and eventually started using Macky (the long snapper) on just shotgun plays. I’m looking at the 2011 roster, but the name is not hitting me.I was wondering if center might put less wear and tear on the hips than guard. Probably less running around.
One thing for sure if this lineup is retained: no one is going to push us around inside. That middle three would be massive.
Vet was our best RT last year and it wasn't close.
This lineup could be very interesting. Fans of smash mouth football are going to be stoked!
I think it might have been during his freshman year in 2010, Ryan Barthholomew was the one he was relieving I think.Who was the guard in the Marrone era who moved to center out of necessity? Yes, it was Bartholomew. Thank you. I was thinking 2011, not 2010.I think it might have been during his freshman year in 2010, Ryan Barthholomew was the one he was relieving I think.
Which Oline is getting beat on the right side and holding the defense player?
Difficult to see obviously. By extrapolation, must be either Vet or Davis. Looks like a big boy; my guess would be Dakota. Natural guard playing tackle might be susceptible to outside speed rush, no?Which Oline is getting beat on the right side and holding the defense player?
If this is because I was using the goal line video to tease out the 1s... Uh... Sorry, everyone.
Yep his get off is exceptional. He plays stronger than he looks but I was hoping he gained more weight so he could be a every down guy.I like Linton. He's got a great first step. It's a shame he can't put and keep weight on.
Yup... that's what I was referring to... you can see his arm in the sling.
Hmm. Guess its better than a knee or leg injury. Broken arm or wrist maybe? That is typically about 6-8 weeks recovery time. Maybe he can get back by the end of September if that is the case.Yup... that's what I was referring to... you can see his arm in the sling.

Was just hoping it was an arm and the sling was added security cut it could certainly be that too and that may be more likely for a sling.shoulder?
