If Broyld keeps catching 6 passes on average per game he may surpass the receptions record Lemon set last season.
Imagine what his numbers would look like without the drops and the if he caught the tough throws that receivers with good hands make.will be curious to see what happens when defenses start keying on him
Well... I didn't want to say anything, but, yeah, there is some of that.Imagine what his numbers would look like without the drops and the if he caught the tough throws that receivers with good hands make.
I wonder if Allen can break Paulus's completion percentage record.
He seems to have a lot of trouble with passes head-high or higher. Hopefully he's working on it.Well... I didn't want to say anything, but, yeah, there is some of that.
Syracuse. Paulus owns the highest completion percentage for a season in the team's history. To which team?

How were Kevin Johnsons (qb to wr comparison) hands when he was a sophomore? Not a selective memory of KJ but a real idea of how they were along with that, how many snaps did he get as a soph? I think Broyld will be a heck of a player for SU and yes he'll have some WTH moments but overall I love having that kid in the lineup as a receiver.
I think Broyld is just going to keep getting better and better and better, and he isn't going to peak until he is playing on Sundays.
My favorite is when guys are labeled "possession receiver," when what we really mean is they aren't very good.the board loves sure handed guys who can't get open and hates guys with bad hands who get open.
you can't catch a ball that isn't thrown to you. my kingdom for johnny morant
I agree, He already looks far more comfortable catching the ball than he did when he was wasted at RB last year. His hands are fine, he needs to get the ball a lot.I think Broyld is just going to keep getting better and better and better, and he isn't going to peak until he is playing on Sundays.

I don't care about speed or how much a kid bench presses, give me kids that understand how to get open versus both zone and man, and can make plays, drops will happen but they need to catch more than they drop. Neither Sales, Lemon or West are fast but they seemed to be open a lot last year. When wr play struggles we instantly see we need more speed!! Big guys that can beat press coverage!!! We had none of that last year but we got very solid production from guys that were football players not track stars.
I think Funderburke can play but he seems to be in the dog house
I'm not saying that there aren't possession receivers that are good. I'm saying that there are a lot of guys that just aren't all that good that we call possession receivers.Lots of possession receivers who are good, Lemon is/was. Anquan Boldin comes to mind, he isn't bad... I think it just means guys who don't have great speed but seem to move the chains, Sales is/was one as well.
