Our worst finish proportionally in the Big East was 1981 (6th out of 8). Our lowest finish was 2006 (9th out of 16). Our worst in the ACC is 2018 (11th out of 15). In all three seasons we had post seasons success. 1981 we won the Big East Tournament and went to the NIT Final. In 2006 we won the Big East Tournament In 2018 we made the Sweet 16.

So things are looking pretty good for a ACCT run this year.

That can't be right. If they won the Big East Tournament in 1981, wouldn't they have gone to the NCAA tournament? Wasn't the Big East Tourney an auto-bid tournament?

Not for another year or so. At the time, the Big East was only 2 years old, there was a waiting period before the automatic bid.

The only certainty is we won't come close to the tournament. Who knows who we'll beat or not beat. Last year we lost by 30 to WF and beat #1 seed UNC.
