Cuse holding the #1 MU offense to 0-2 on the day won’t get a lot of press in a high scoring game but woah boy was it important
Cuse Cornell in the finals would be so nostalgic though…The only thing that would have made it sweeter is if Cornell lost. Congrats Cuse!
Usually just a reader don't like posting but Bomber what makes you so knowledgeable as a goalie coach? Why do you know better then everyone? As someone who played goalie at a high level and has been fortunate enough to play with a goalie still playing and helped train another multiple times it's very clear YOU are the one who has no clue what they're talking about. McCool's footwork/lack of balance, positioning and his consistent hand dropping was a pretty apparent issue. Obviously didn't matter as a win is a win and he came up with his only 2 saves of the half in the last 2 minutes which was clutch but to sit here and tell everyone they can't form their own opinion about the guy they've watched all year is insane. Congratulations to Joey and this cuse team on overcoming adversity all year to finally break through to Memeorial day weekend. Excited for Boston next week hope to see some of you therelol. You have no clue
Syracuse offsidesWhat actually happened at the end? I was so confused why lost possession
Yes and Joey called that out in his post game interview. 22 did 22 things today. Great player & teammateUnsung hero: Ipp
The kid is a keeper, no doubt about it.I said it before we have won every game when payton beat anderson scores in. Makes it 5-0 believe when he scores.
I’m really proud of our entire defensive unit. They were gassed at the end, but damn it they kept fighting. My son and I were going nuts when we were putting the physical beat downs on Princeton’s players. We kept yelling “Now THAT is SU lacrosse!!” It’s like we went back in time and found that spark again. Best game we played in a while. We started strong, finished strong, and found ways to overcome our mistakes. Can’t ask for more than that. Great win for the program, and a much needed one at that. We picked a great day to put it all together. The scary thing is, we still haven’t played our best from start to finish. This team can be better, and that’s scary for the rest of the field. We out played them the entire game. Lots of pipes that would have made this a cruise at the end. Beat a great team without playing our best. Kids dug deep didn't fold when P made the run and came away with a great win. I think our coach is doing just fine.
I haven't read this whole thread yet so maybe it's already been said - I've heard that some people believe that if it was offside (which I thought it must have been when Finn put the ball on the ground) that Princeton should have gotten the ball at midfield (with 6.5 seconds left). Does anyone know if that's the rule in that situation? Can you imagine if they had??? Does anyone know who was offside, and why? Needless to say, it could have been a disaster.Offsides SU
and Gary would have been run out of town.If they would have tied the game on that I'd be jail in right now.
In my younger days I briefly owned a small puka necklace import business. I'm serious.Sorry. Not a fan of him. Quiet hater.
per the official box score -- Princeton 35, Syracuse 33Anybody have the ground ball number? Feels like they dominated us there...and we still won.
Thanks not as bad as it seemedper the official box score -- Princeton 35, Syracuse 33
Turnovers -- Syracuse 9, Princeton 11
