What are Berry's physical dimensions? I've seen him listed anywhere from 6-2 to 6-4, and from 210 pounds to 230 pounds. Obviously, 6-2 210 pounds isn't great for a DE. 6-4 230 would be a helluva lot better.

I didn't know Valdez made a few award watch lists. Wow that could be quite an LB group. I didn't think any group would surpass my favorites; Scanlon, Smith, and Dumas.

Makes me feel a bit better about our DL. Optimistic that players step up.

I think there are a number of incoming frosh that could potentially play right away. Obviously Pierre (and don't sleep on Stritz), Harper, and one of the brothers Johnson have the best shot because of existing depth at the position. Should really be on notice though if anyone else gets significant run without there being a nightmare of injuries. Linebacker is nearly murderers row on the two deep right now and the battle at both cornerback spots is going to be intense. DE, while not necessarily stacked, would raise an eyebrow if either Jonathan or Morton outperformed and saw the field.

I think Pierre and Elmore are going to pretty big factors this year if they can master their assignments.

You don't run for like 900 yards in 2 games in Florida without being something special. We stole one from WKU. Elmore just needs to block, occasionally catch a pass and be able to ram it for 1-2 yards when needed.

I think that kingsley has a chance to surprise.
I personally think he's the rawest DL we have coming in and we'll give him a shirt.

Don't expect too much impact from true freshmen on the defensive side. Maybe Curtis Harper if we desperately need him. Think Nykeim and Markenzy will get a chance on O though.

Those are my two on O. If Markenzy is even remotely ready, he'll play at least half the time.

For the D, Valdez and one or two of the secondary guys.

I don't like predicting D lineman playing as freshman but with the loss of Allen, Its possible Jonathan gets into the rotation.

Don't sleep on Melifonuw. His length and athleticism might be needed. Its easier for secondary guys to play as freshmans.

I think our schedule sets the new possible contributors up for success. I am not saying any of them are creampuff games, however it will give them good game experience before ACC play.

Here is my pick for standout transfer. Jordan Martin - He can cover, likes to hit and can blitz.

He's probably our best corner on day 1. Which helps upgrade the entire secondary, in talent and depth.
Excited to see the improvements on D this year.

He looks like he has good short area coverage skills; none of those clips really show him caring a WR up the field. Not saying he can't, just that I can't tell from those clips.

To me, Martin looks like an ideal Cover 2 safety.

Hopefully, his size makes him an upgrade in run support too.

Agreed. We've struggled with out short yardage goal line situations for a number of years. And while the article mentioned Elmore as a lead blocker, I also see him providing some added protection for Dungey. If he can catch a pass coming out of the backfield, he could add another dimension to our offense (like Kyle Juszczyk).

Yup. Run support looks like a strength for him. It would be nice to have his size back there, especially with Cordy as the other S.
