Probably was graded based on expected development and hasn't developed. We saw the same thing with Adly Enoicy. 4 Star Rivals 250 kid as a soph with USC and big 3 Florida offers, and we had to flip him late from FIU by the time he was a senior.

Damn, Babers is out there offering Boise commits and this guy flipped to Rutgers.

I think I'd prefer a prospect whose stock is rising than another 4 star Rivals 250 kid along the lines of our own Adly Enoicy or Denzel Moore who looked amazing as sophomores and not so amazing by the time they were seniors. Kid probably hasn't developed as expected.

yeah we'd be ecstatic getting a kid who is sitting on the bench for his high school team, while a walk-on talent is the starter. cartwheels.

His senior year numbers aren't so great either. He was beaten out for the starting job at QB at IMG. As a backup, he is 42-72 for 323 yards, with 2 TDs and 3 interceptions.

Looks like a good fit for the Rutgers offense.

I'll see what I can find out here in his hometown. His old coach is my son's history teacher. I was at a high school game a couple of weeks ago, and they are definitely a run first offense. Not quite the Delaware Wing T we ran at JD back in the 80's, but lots of option.

Might be a bit too harsh. Kid has the size and arm, but needs a lot of development. If develops, he could be a stud. But the amount of development needed would probably have him a middling 3*. That said, he's going to Rutgers, so I don't expect him to realize any of his potential given their track record. As you said, Rutgers is Rutgers.

To be fair the RU board is slamming the kid for the most part, every once in a while they get something right.
