Class of 2022 QB Beau Pribula (PA) Portal to Mizzou

Reddit folks saying WVU and UCF.
I like that he runs well. Our OLine is improving but not elite. I think he would be a very good fit.
Until Allar blows a knee in playoffs or next spring... and he portals back to PSU to return to his true "home." I'd be careful on this one...

Interesting read. He's not wrong but there's no good time for a portal window. Kids need to be able to transfer over winter break and get into their new school for second semester.
There's no football 2nd semester. 1 time per year transfer after CFP or in May or 2 year contracts

There is spring football, but if a kid wants to enroll for 2nd semester you can't have a window that opens after January 20th. And you can't not prevent mid-year transfers.

Exactly why would he need to leave the team to portal and figure that out?

They were just talking on XM about this. Many kids won't even take visits to deal with this stuff. Sure some highend kids will be dealing with things, but 99% of kids will not be playing beyond the next week or so. the ones who make the playoffs 50% of them are done in 2-3 weeks as well.

If Franklin wanted him to be around to help with the playoff he could find that time for a trip to visit and skip a practice.

at Syracuse you can enroll up until like the 23rd of Jan. Most schools have a week grace and even more for some kids beyond the avg grace period can be done. They do it all the time for foreign kids

Tennessee classes being January 21. Don't know when the last day to enroll is but not exactly leaving much time to process visits and get enrolled, acclimated and start class.

First day of classes at Syracuse is January 13. Add deadline Jan21 but that's not reasonable for a new student.

Kids on the Playoff teams are going to have to leave their teams.

Sure a kid coming to SU or any school needs to figure things out. But only 4 teams really have games after that first few days of Jan. Thats 3 weeks.

The bigger deal is spots locking up. Its a big deal for QBs of which there are few. Not as big a deal for the others in the portal where 1 kid higs 90% of the playing time.

PSU will lose game one anyway

What if I don't care if a player enrolls for the 2nd semester. If education is such a low priority why can't players just enroll a few weeks late.
I think having 3500 university students transferring multiple times a year benefits no one.

Very athletic kid, has only played sparingly but when he has he has looked quite good. I mean, short of Kyle coming back or someone like Salter committing, this kid would be a great get, similar to Collins.
Great talent, but seems to be much more of a RB playing QB. Runs alot, very fast and big. Arm seems inaccurate and mechanics needs work. Not a drop back pocket passer, relies on play action, rolls outs, and successful run game to hit wide open receivers. Alot of passes aren't spirals.

Hmm he seems pretty accurate to me and seems like a solid dual threat which I would not mind at all

Having trouble opening it, but if you think he has had accuracy issues I am not going to die on that hill!
I think he had a 70+% completion rate this past year as a backup - 13 games played. That's not an accident. True, he scrambled a lot in his film. But I attribute that to fewer practice reps and limited experience connecting with receivers at game speed. A lot to like about this prospect.
