THE IMPORTANCE OFTHE 40 YARD DASH

It is primarily run to evaluate the speed and acceleration of American football players by coaches and scouts particularly for the NFL Draft but also for collegiate recruiting. A player's recorded time for every position can have a heavy impact on his prospects in college or professional football.

Coached by Nunzio’s brother Nick at DePaul.

Things I liked on his film:
  • Moved well in the pocket but kept his eyes down field, still looking to pass when things broke down
  • Able to adjust his arm slot to throw around pressure while maintaining accuracy
  • Able to keep velocity on throws while throwing off his back foot against pressure/ taking a hit
  • Good at throwing his receivers open and placing the ball where they can run under it for YAC
  • Looks to be pretty accurate in general
If I had to nitpick:
  • Hoping he’s still got a few inches of growing to do. A little on the small side for a P4 QB.
  • Sufficient arm strength, but it would be great to see him get a little more zip on the ball
  • Didn’t always step into his throws (which might explain the above point).
Overall he looks like a solid QB prospect with an obvious connection to the staff through his Head Coach. Currently rated a 4 star, but he really looks like more of a high three star to me (I know, stars are a nebulous and unimportant distinction).

Would be a great add to the QB room.

Don’t think he’s visiting either. Looks like we will take 1 QB for 2026 and that’s Lott.
