Class of 2023 QB Dylan Raiola (GA) Portal from Nebraska to Oregon

We literally didn’t have a backup this season that could throw a forward pass and ended the season on a 9 game losing streak because of it but we’re arguing about whether to bring on a guy as #2 here that’s started 22 P4 games and has a winning record as a starter.

Never a dull moment.

Why would he come here? We already have a good starter. He's not coming to sit the bench.

From a talent and potential point of view he is certainly a higher upside then Steve, he would almost certainly be the starter but I would be shocked if he came here.

Have people actually watched him play?

And after watching him play you think he is better than Angeli?

People are ok with the circus that he would bring?

People are ok overpaying for what he brings when we need to use money elsewhere?

We are supposed to ignore that many Nebraska fans are happy he is gone?

If he came here it would be with the assurance that he is QB1. He isn't coming here to compete. If Angeli wasn't willing to be QB2 at ND, he ain't staying here to be QB2.

Not good enough for Syracuse but apparently good enough for Oregon lol.

Ignoring the fact that he was never an option for SU, he is absolutely better than Angeli. You think healthy Steve could've thrown for 300+ yards and 3 TDs against Michigan last year?

What circus would he have brought? I would always overpay for a QB to make us better.

I think Angeli is a better college QB. Even if that is not true, budget wise Angeli is a better fit for SU.

You pointing to the one good game he had last year. He left a lot to be desired in the other games.

His family is an issue. Will his uncle and brother be part of the deal too? Between HSs, College commitments, and College teams he is on like his tenth team now.

We had family issues last year. There will always be family issues. He had a 72% completion percentage, 18 TDs and 6 INTs last year. Left some to be desired? Sure. He's 19, I'm sure he'll get better as he goes. Watch him win the Heisman for Oregon next year.

so we're going to crap all over a guy because he didn't even consider transferring here, but we get all up in arms when recruiting "experts" start picking apart guys who do commit here. ok then...

Raiola cost Neb probably 5 wins the last 2 yrs. He may do better at Oregon as they have more talent.
