Surely hope these stats from Maxpreps are somehow wrong. Only 5 games listed but they don't quite make sense to me...

I've found max prep is rarely accurate, from what I've seen.
Our RB from PA had missed stats for most of his games but looking up the induvial games on other places he had stats.

I hope those stats are a April "fools" Day. Cuz it's showing 3 TDs to 5 ints ratio. No no we don’t want that.

Physically, Dixon looks like a full grown man, even though he’s a sophomore. He’s still got 30 months before he gets to campus.

He’s got a really weird hitch in his throw, but can still sling it. Somebody upthread suggested he won’t get to campus as a QB, but as an Athlete. Maybe, but he’s got decent arm talent and a lot of time to improve.

Niastri, thank you for providing the Seven on Seven for everyone here.

I have evaluated many QB's for the Football Recruiting Forum and was an All - State QB from N.J. After throwing 20 TD passes as a senior know the correct way to throw a football from feet plant to index finger to increase spin rate fror tight spirals. If you press the stop then go arrow repeatedly and look at his throwing you see everything he does from cocking the ball to over the top, follow through wrist snap and finish.

I see no hitch at all. My concern is that he gets to work with a QB coach who knows what he's doing and can help Dixon. I believe Fran may help here by knowing a coach in Dixon's area. He could be smoother, and his completion rate needs to improve - the coach needs to go through everything with him and do it every day with his receivers. It's the only way he's going to get better.

The stats I saw from MaxPreps are poor. But after doing this for several years when you look at a recruit you'll get Height and Weight from Hudl, MaxPreps, 247, ON3, and others and each one has a different size. I go with the recruits X HT & WT because I know after speaking to him, the coach has looked at it and approved before it gets posted.

He's definitely 6' 3" 200 coach confirms. What he has to work on is his timing. He rushes his throws and that results in incompletions. Perhaps the MP stats, if correct, can be improved. A coach would certainly help.

Thanks….. nice commentary

Yeah he's being recruited as a QB.

7 on 7 tape doesn't mean a lot but he's certainly not being recruited as an "athlete"

Yeah, I agree. They wouldn’t take a kid this far ahead of time if they didn’t think he could play the position. But, if he gets here and gets beaten out, he’ll have a shot at a few positions based on his build and athleticism.

Yeah, but then you said Wax was going to be an RB definately not an LB. So you have a pretty shaky record on predictions.
