I know this may be obvious, but is he the son of the Olympian Michael Johnson. He doesn't run like him, but he's damn fast.
 

Maybe we kick the tires? We have at least something going for us here.

23 rushes for 149 yards and 7 TDs last year. Could he be the mystery running back?

At Florida Atlantic
Redshirt Junior (2023)

  • Returned to the fields with limited ability during the spring and was near 100% for the season opener
  • Saw first collegiate action at Clemson with four carries for a total of seven yards, including a two-yard touchdown run and a solo tackle
  • Worked into the game plan at Illinois recording a carry
  • Was a part of the Owls' inaugural AAC game and victory over Tulsa
  • Inserted into the action, with three carries for a total of 17 yards and two scores versus USF
  • Recorded an eight-yard carry and was credited with 25-yard kick return versus UTSA
  • Carried the ball five times at Charlotte tallying 45 yards, including a 19-yard score and attempted one pass
  • Saw action with three carries for a total of three rushing yards and was included in multiple drives at UAB
  • Scored the only TD for the Owls versus ECU with a three-yard run
  • Had three carries for a total of five yards versus Tulane

  • As a true freshman in 2019, did not play and took a redshirt

  • Over his prep career, threw for over 7,300 yards and 86 touchdowns, with rushing totals of 3,463 yards and 48 more scores
  • As a senior, led his Sheldon team to an 11-3 record, throwing for 1,821 yards and 19 touchdowns against just three interceptions
  • Added 1,290 yards on the ground – with seven games over 100 – and tabulated another 18 scores
  • The unseeded Irish won four playoff games before falling by just a score in the OSAA 6A championship matchup
  • Following the season, played in the Under Armour All-America game, the Pro Football Hall of Fame World Bowl and was on the Elite 11 Finals roster

  • His father, Michael Johnson, Sr., played quarterback at Arizona State and Akron and has coached since 1997, mostly in college and in the NFL

Johnson and his wife Louan have one daughter, Taylor, and one son, Michael Jr. Michael Jr. plays quarterback at Florida Atlantic University and Taylor was a track and field student-athlete at Nebraska.

Thanks for the info. Checked to see if there was a prior thread but I did not pull up for me.
Wonder if he could be an backup qb option?
