Put him in at the goal line to jump pass to Vilarri like Tebow to Aaron Hernandez
Exactly, happy to have him but as an athlete, not a feasible QB. I am hoping they still find a QB, I have PTSD ever since the BC game last year. Actually, have backup QB PTSD going back to 2014
Very true, he may have saved the season against NC, that would have been a terrible loss and a 3rd straight loss. We could have easily spiraled down like most yearsOur backup QB in 2018 won us 2 games that year.
FSU & UNC.
Tommy's overall Cuse career may not have worked out how any of us woulda liked,
(his Dad in particular)
but - dude balled out for us in relief of Dungey in both of those W's.
No, no Aaron Hernandez references, noooooPut him in at the goal line to jump pass to Vilarri like Tebow to Aaron Hernandez
I almost wonder if our plan at QB2 is a situational "QB by committee" type arrangement should something happen to McCord. If McCord is banged up for just the 2nd half of a game we have in hand, maybe Johnson finishes out the game as an option running QB. If it's a tougher game we are behind, maybe Williams or even one of the PWO guys who look good throwing the ball steps in and we take our chances on our receivers making plays.
6'3" 210 is a nice size for an athlete. If he can catch the ball at all its potentially another guy to get the ball to in space and let make plays.I think it is a low risk gamble.
He's kind of big for a RB [6-3 210?], so does that lock him into QB? And he's got an impressive initial set of offers, from blue chip programs. He's also been hurt.
So, given the coaching staff tie, you bring him in and give him a shot. If he isn't "good enough" at QB, maybe he makes the transition from QB to RB, a la Dee Brown -- where you give him a shot and see what he can do.
Or maybe the tools are all there for a successful QB, and a change of scenery / another opportunity is what he needs. Maybe he isn't starting caliber, but solid enough to be a backup here, and we need capable bodies in the QB room given lack of depth.
Time will tell.

Thanks for posting this. He looks like he could be a nice piece on the RB depth chart. Size wise reminds me of Willis.2:16 and 4:11.
Yeah that ain’t it. Most likely back up qb.. games 1-4 or 5, CDRW. Games 6-12 the rook. People just have to get their mind around it.I almost wonder if our plan at QB2 is a situational "QB by committee" type arrangement should something happen to McCord. Because it's better for Villari focus on being the best tight end he can be.If the thought is a redzone specialist that is sort of interesting. Does seem to make more sense with our #1 option being McCord at QB who is not at all a runner. But then again why not stick Villari in that roll? I guess he would certainly be a different style runner than Villari.

Yep. Villari belongs at tight end and the team is best served with him focused on that position. And the newly added Johnson as Offensive Weapon Not QB lolBecause it's better for Villari focus on being the best tight end he can be.
I think he's going to have a really good year btw. He's going to feast on play action block and release catches and YAC.
