Class of 2026 QB Peyton Falzone (PA) Verbal to PSU

Top 50 QBs are clearly the way to go
I mean look how Gavin Wimsett, Bubba Chandler, Walker Howard, or Malachi Nelson
ALL SETTING THE WORLD ON FIRE!

You end up with bums like Eric Dungey, Josh Allen, and Baker Mayfield when you go outside the HOLY top 50 of QBs...
I love how people think finding a QB is so easy. No one in the college or pros has figured it out 100% yet. We have NFL teams dumping huge resources into guys like Will Levis and Anthony Richardson. Rankings don’t mean anything when it comes to QB’s.

Well, to be fair, it’s pretty obvious that lots of folks here would have been all time great HCs or GMs, if life hadn’t taken them elsewhere.

and to think Ryan Leaf was debated to be a better QB they Manning 🤣

It's more like after you get past the top 10 there is a major drop off.

Peyton is visiting Auburn this week feels like a sealed deal he will sign with then next week.

How bout the pro scouts placing and drafting Tim Couch ahead of Donovan McNabb... and then the "expert" fans booing McNabb being picked instead of Akili Smith.
I thought they were booing not taking Rickey Williams, or was that a different incident

All I can say is: thank god Donovan wasn't drafted first by the Cleveland Browns. If so, his career probably would have ended up something like Couch's.

Going #2 was just fine, and things worked out really well with the Eagles. He dodged a bullet.

Agree 100% about Couch / Smith -- hot garbage.

Somehow Kevin Johnson did reasonably well in Cleveland. Always wondered what his career would have been had it started elsewhere instead.

If the Browns selected McNabb and then still picked Kevin Johnson it's undebatable that they would have won a Super Bowl together.

Cannot be debated.

How about if the Steelers took KJ at 13 instead of Troy Williams to play opposite Hines Ward?

Correct. That is an opinion I share 100%.
Again I never said I wouldn't want one, just the fact getting one does not get you to the playoffs.
Agree and the nil they want may not be worth it. QB and OL seems to be the biggest position where a player does not meet expectations coming out of high school.
