It's
It's called an anxiety disorder as I have stated previously. He is simply too anxious to function.Nassib's brain does become overwhelmed and it is like freezing. It goes back to the fight-flight-freeze system in the brain. The brainstem senses fear and the limbic system becomes aroused. If the arousal is too heightened it overloads the cortex, and thinking, seeing, processing suffer. He is normally a very rigid personality and when he senses danger on the football field his brain flips and becomes chaotic.
Nassib's personality off the field seems very rigid. I wonder sometimes if he is open to coaching. Either way, Nassib needs to widen his comfort zone or else he will continue to struggle when he senses danger on the field. He needs to be very prepared and play with a better football IQ. And he needs to self-talk in a way that overrides the arousal in his limbic region and brainstem.
Marrone went all in with Nassib, and the pressure is on for Nassib to grow more into his potential because he's falling short and he has been for a while.
