I don’t understand. Isn’t that a ‘self-own’ as the kids say?NC St. is the perfect place for Copeland. "NC" also stands for "No Class." Classes were something that were not part of his routine at CUSE. Students, please get the Quadir, NC (No Classes) St. signs going.
Copeland was told by Cuse to enter the transfer portal, he was too much of academic risk and was in danger of becoming ineligible/flunking out. He did not bother with attending classes.I don’t understand. Isn’t that a ‘self-own’ as the kids say?
Do they even track that these days?Cant remember the last time I heard of a guy being ineligible for academic reasons.Copeland was told by Cuse to enter the transfer portal, he was too much of academic risk and was in danger of becoming ineligible/flunking out. I have nothing against Quadir. He was my favorite player for us last year and I'm happy he was successful at McNeese. I definitely won't be rooting against himHeard a few weeks back this was a done deal once Wade took the job. Hope Cuse crushes Quadir next season.
Yeah sorry my comment was mostly about wanting Cuse to win. Generally I agree with you.I have nothing against Quadir. He was my favorite player for us last year and I'm happy he was successful at McNeese. I definitely won't be rooting against him
I understand the true nature of CBB, but how do you not even attend class but be only in danger of flunking?Copeland was told by Cuse to enter the transfer portal, he was too much of academic risk and was in danger of becoming ineligible/flunking out. He did not bother with attending classes.
Okay, but my point was… he didn’t go to class at SU, yet we‘re going to project a taunt upon him, expecting that he won’t go to class at another school?Copeland was told by Cuse to enter the transfer portal, he was too much of academic risk and was in danger of becoming ineligible/flunking out. I got a B+ and a B in two semesters of general bio at Oswego by skipping all the classes and reading the summary sections of the chapters being tested the morning of the test. Dr. Hammil was such a terrible teacher and he made tests so confusing it didn't matter if you attented, you'd still do terrible on the tests. He had to grade on a straight z-score otherwise everyone would fail. On my first test I got something like 41 out of 90 correct and got an A-.I understand the true nature of CBB, but how do you not even attend class but be only in danger of flunking?
I teach a 101 level course, and I at least require folks to show up from time to time.101 courses are very easy
I had a philosophy class where around 30 football players were in the class, they showed up one time to take the final. Quadir is not unique unfortunately.Copeland was told by Cuse to enter the transfer portal, he was too much of academic risk and was in danger of becoming ineligible/flunking out. under whose coaching regime?I had a philosophy class where around 30 football players were in the class, they showed up one time to take the final. Quadir is not unique unfortunately.
Really depends what you're graded on. I had a statistics course my senior year where we were only graded on exams and our final project. I used that class time to pick up a shift at my work and then I'd just show up on exam day. Got straight A's until the professor accused me of cheating and I had to go to trial for academic integrity lol. She ended up getting fired after I won the case but she was able to knock my grade down to a D (and my poor partner on the final project got a failing grade and had to retake the course to graduate). Did cost me cum laude though which was a little annoying.I understand the true nature of CBB, but how do you not even attend class but be only in danger of flunking?
I know a guy who stopped attending class, failed 3 classes had a 1.6 something gpa first semester and was put on academic probation who was supposed to attain a 2.0 average by the end of the academic year. He was told he could appeal after the 2nd semester if he had shown adequate progress and dedication to getting his grades close to the 2.0 overall average. Sadly he just gave up and quit. It would have taken 2 semesters maybe more for him to have totally flunked out though. Not at SU but another college.Really depends what you're graded on. I can't speak for Q but I know some of the other players from the end of the Big East era would also only show up on exam days for some classes.
