Quick guess at the 2019 schedule...

Duke in Bethapge? Freekin weird.
It’s brilliant. Wish SU did something to get more kids from Long Island. Both amplo and danowski are from LI and they recruit super heavy in that area. If you go back to the scheduled threads when SU moved to the ACC, I begged to either play a game on the island or add Hofstra/Stony Brook. It would help with recruiting and make cuseguy happy.

Duke has open lines with Chaminade

Ohio State in Dallas and Duke in Bethpage, NY.
Bethpage - Doesn't matter which sport. Doesn't matter which year. Near universally acknowledged as the dirtiest team on LI.

According to a poster on the new laxpower site, Yale will scrimmage Syracuse (in Syracuse) on February 2nd. They scrimmaged last year as well.

Great Warm Up before the season. Yale will be strong again this year.

Duke basketball game is slated for Sat Feb 23rd...would LAX play on Sunday? I'd love to come back home (living in SC now) this weekend to watch both.

Sure. Sat and Sun are interchangeable.

Bingo should get bumped to Sunday also.

Now that both the Men's and Women's Basketball schedules are out, they can finalize the LAX schedule.

Whispers from the Alumni game

Colgate
Albany
Army
Virginia
Hopkins
Rutgers
Duke
@Notre Dame
@Hobart
Cornell
@UNC
@Navy
ACC 1st/2nd Round
ACC Championship
NCAA 1st Round

Schedule broke as I figured it would, I know this is far from certain but assuming these games line up a few thoughts.

Surprised we didn't try to squeeze in Bingo or another lower team for a mid week game, only 12 games is pretty low and doesn't leave many "get healthy games". Really hope we add a Siena, or Binghamton, or St. Bonaventure to the schedule.

Pretty rough stretch of games betwween Virginia and Hobart. UVA, Hop, Rutty, Duke and Notre Dame,

After the Hobart game we get a brutal stretch to end the season; Cornell, @ UNC, and @ Navy. Would be a smart idea to schedule a lower type between UNC and Navy.

Surprised were not playing Hobart at home again as we played at Hobart two years in a row like we did at Hopkins. That game should be at the Dome again this year.

Hmm, looks like they have dropped a game since Binghamton doesn't appear. Hopefully they add one, more games the better after all. Wonder if the new ACC Tournament schedule is screwing things up? Seems strangely lopsided with seven home games to start the season, then four of the last five on the road. Hopefully the schedule doesn't stay this way. Thanks for posting!

New ACCT and the Patriot League Tourney have messed up the last week for everyone.

Army West Point confirmed for February 23rd in the Dome, no time announced. It will be Army's fourth game of the season, and follows a Tuesday match-up against Marist on the 19th. So that makes at least two Orange opponents that will be facing Syracuse on short rest.

We're playing Duke Basketball on Feb 23.

Some news from our board.

One poster has our game as March 2 (its usual weekend) at 1 PM.

Another poster says he's heard rumblings that the game may be moved next year to the weekend around 4/20 (you're playing Navy and we're playing Marist during that weekend this year). The idea for that is that it was originally scheduled so early in the year because it was an OOC game for both of us (but that's changed) and it's getting very hard to schedule OOC games that late in the year.

Why did Cuse drop Binghamton now after taking Sienna and St Johns off schedule last year ? Seems every top D1team schedules a few softer games to release some pressure which is needed. Syracuse did not.

Right off the bat, they get an improved and motivated Colgate team playing for a new coach. Albany still with plenty of talent. Army and Navy always exacting a physical toll. Rutgers now firmly entrenched as a top twenty program, a murderers row of ACC teams reloaded with five stars as well as top ten Hopkins and Cornell. Hobart is really the only opponent that might be considered a breather

Enjoy watching top teams but expected schedule seems draining , has to be both physically and mentally exhausting for college kids amid their classes to play a tough team week in week out without room for error. Even when they win there will not be much time to breathe or recover from the aches, both which could be afforded by a lighter schedule.

Think this team is better than last and hoping for return to double digit wins but their schedule /road is less traveled by most

The change in the ACC conf tournament caused Bingo to be dropped. The conf tourney is now this bizarre back to back weekend mashup that hopefully will be scrapped after this one year experiment. As such SU had to move Colgate to the beginning of the year in order to keep them on the schedule. The other issue is that Desko doesn't like to play mid week games which SU would have to another 2+ times in order to keep Bingo on the schedule and add another team.

Thank you Jeremy for the explanation... change in ACC tourney format is illogical and wasteful for such a small number of teams , change suggest to me that some have too much time on their hands, better spent figuring out how to expand ACC conference
