T Hunt has been great. He has 10 incompletions, 7 passing TD's and 2 rushing. Completing 75% of his passes.

Chris Clark was great yesterday.

First two series the offense was great, after that, it was okay. Short field was the story the rest of the way.

The biggest single improvement on offense this year has been in the redzone , it has been excellent. Last year the offense was great in moving the ball and struggled in close, this year is the opposite.

If they gave points for hitting the QB the defense would be great, but since they don't I wasn't all that impressed yesterday. Chuck B, you're allowed to play coverage, you don't have to bring 6 or 7 guys all the time on 3rd and long.

There were a seasons worth of special teams plays yesterday, you can't count on that. It was a blowout, but pretty deceptive.

The way the offense was playing it would have been a blowout with or without the short field. The time of possession and total yard stats would have been significantly more weighted toward SU as a result. Even their coach said at the half that they were having trouble stopping us.

I agree... the stats don't tell the whole story in this one. The short fields helped SU put up alot of points more quickly, but I doubt that Tulane would have stopped them consistently even if they had a longer field. Syracuse was really conservative in the 2nd half so that surely lead to a drop in production. If the "short field" scores hadn't happened in the first half, then Syracuse would have probably just had a smaller lead at halftime and would have kept the offense wide open for longer in the second half.

Tulane had mix ups in the secondary and as long as Hunt went through his progressions somebody found themselves pretty open...fun to watch.

I have mixed feelings about breaking their kickers streak...cool to have them block it and end it but after what he just went through he's the one guy I wanted to have a good game.

Red zone offense has been wonderful and I hate that type of formation when they are close to the end zone. Can't kick the results.

Don't recall you being so critical when your boy Marrone was coaching. I think SUs offense was awesome while the game still mattered. I think they won by 5 tds or something like that didn't they? They were down right fantastic End of discussion.

That was critical? Three greats, an excellent, improvement. Yep a lot of negativity right there.

I think they could dial down the pressures and play more coverage on 2nd and 3rd with this DL. Relax, it's just an observtion.

And there were many posts when Marrone was here that are very similar. I always try to be balanced.

Short field points, special teams mistakes etc are all part of the game. Other teams around the country feast on this stuff. I definitely don't feel like theres a 'but' in this win with yards vs points and such and being a deceptive blowout.

Deceptive blowout---kinda like being almost pregnant...;)

It seems more and more clear that the staff wanted Allen because of his arm strength.

So far arm strength has not been much of a problem with T. Hunt.

You're right, Chris Clark has been terrific.

He gets open and catches the ball - pretty simple.

according to shafer the blocked punt that crume made was not called...it just happened.
