  • Give me another order of shaky potatoes-Not only was Cooney very accurate from 3, he showed a very quick release. Good to see him also attacking the basket a bit
  • As I posted yesterday, Ennis is the key to the season. if he shoots well, he opens things so much better for teammates and we're a different team. A very underrated aspect is Ennis is his basketball instincts in getting 50/50 loose balls. He seems to be one of the few guys on our team who comes up with them
  • Happy to see Grant hit a couple of mid-range jumpers. Still not sold on his confidence shooting that shot in a big spot, but apparently he does it it practice and hopefully it carries over.
  • The exciting thing is Fair was Fairly bad last night and we still played great. I don't believe Fair is good enough to carry us on most nights, but if the others keep producing, that'll force Defenses to focus less on Fair and then hopefully he steps it up
  • My biggest concern is defensive rebounding or the lack thereof. I didn't check the stats, but until the 2nd half of last night's game, we seemed to be getting killed by second chance points from teams with less size. if we can clean that up and Ennis can continue to put pressure on the D, I feel very optimistic about this season.

offensive rebounding, also. We only had 8 and we are significantly bigger than Cal.

My biggest concern is perimeter defense and slow rotations inside to take away inside scoring opportunities.

Need to improve in both areas to strengthen the D. Not entirely unexpected with so many new faces playing key roles.
