QB-Amie-Happy to get one of Dino's preferred choices. Also like that he's a dual threat. Has the strong arm.
RB- Really like Howard. Think Dixon can be a good short yardage runner, but don't see him giving any 20+ yard runs. Hope he takes Elmore's carries. Think Howard has an excellent combo of power, speed, and agility. If Jordan makes it here, think he can be just as good, if not better than the Pitt guy. Liked his video at least as much (not part of the class, but think Adams will be excellent).
WR-Really like our gets here. Hendrix is the big name, but think Harris has tremendous potential. Queeley has a little Ish in him and Lutz looks like YAC man on his video, though competition looks suspect
TE-Horan. To me, this position is the least of my concerns. Am fine with just spreading the field more with an extra receiver. I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up at OT, but he has pretty good hands.
OL-Hurts to lose Sampson. Think he would have given our OL some attitude, but perhaps attitude off the field is why he won't be here. Qadir has a ton of potential, but will need time and hopefully fulfills it. Vetorello should be solid. Froumy is strong as an ox. The question is will he be quick enough to block ACC D-linemen.
DL-Chuckie- Like his offers. Looks solid and someone who could contribute early for a DL, but not sure how explosive he is.
LB-The one who's tape really sticks out to me is Williams. I can't speak to his instincts, but his athleticism jumps off the screen to me. The other 2 are also solid. Wallace had some decent offers.
DB-As I've posted seriously, Trill looks like an NFL athlete to me. Think he will help from day 1. Hope Cisco can help early and he's already on campus, which should help. Everyone pooh-poohs (yes, I said Pooh-pooh) all our transfers there, but at the minimum we need bodies for Special teams and we know there will be injuries there. Jonas has some talent, hopefully he recovers 100%.

Think it is a pretty good class, but not as great as some like to think. Started strong, but limped a little in the end. Really need to get some good DL next class. Would have liked to add another strong recruiter to Ferri and Monroe with one of our 2 coaching slots, as I haven't seen so much on the recruiting front from our other assistants. It seems like almost all our top guys were recruited by those 2. More than anything, need some W's this year to sell.

It’s excellent for a team that’s won 12 games in 3 years, but in general it’s solid.

I think the class is a great depth contributor and has zero reaches. But, I don’t think any of these guys are immediate game changers.

Dino echoed this as well that it’s going to take a special player in this class to contribute next year as a freshman. Says a lot about our current depth but I think it also says that this class on its surface does not appear to contain any immediate game changers. Which has been the norm for us for awhile.

Dino echoed this as well that it’s going to take a special player in this class to contribute next year as a freshman. Says a lot about our current depth but I think it also says that this class on its surface does not appear to contain any immediate game changers. Which has been the norm for us for awhile.

I would say some of the DBs might contribute early, but we redshirted some good ones last year in Clarke and Melifonwu so those guys will have a head start on the freshman (Plus Cordy is coming back from inury). If I had to guess, the RBs have a good shot to get some run. Maybe one of the WRs.

I wonder if Elmore shifts to DT now that we've got more natural power backs to work with [including Makenzy Pierre].

Could he play both ways? On offense obviously they really only need him short-yardage/goal-line.

I actually prefer that. Let's redshirt and develop as many as possible.

That wasn’t my take at all. I think he was being reserved and not setting false expectations. There’s clearly some game changers in the class and a few of these kids will contribute day 1. Not sure if the juco counts but he’ll play day 1 and I’m going to throw out Trill and Hendrix; and maybe Okechukwu gets into the two deep.

There’s a few others that I think could get in the mix, but they don’t need to be prematurely pressed into action.

Babers ultimately said if they can contribute they’ll play.

Interesting tidbit, particularly with Ferri talking about how good his hands were. Truthfully, if he could be a quality OT, I take that over a TE every day of the week and twice on Saturday. This Offense doesn't even need a TE.

Looking at the file, I would be really surprised if Gabe doesn't end up having a better career than Qadir White.

He is really athletic for an OT. If he can add good weight to get over 275 (I have little doubt), he is going to be really special. This isn't intended to be a knock on White, who is a really good prospect, but is dealing with concerns in the other direction.

The rankings of NYS players that have Horan far below White are shocking. People get paid to make these evaluations?

A versatile tight end is dangerous in this system. Pierce doesn't get enough credit for the unglamorous dirty work of holding edge protection and laying open field blocks on ends and linebackers that creates space for all those mid range catches Ish and Erv would make. When the time the ball stays in the pocket gets a little bit longer to allow for a read and release from a tight end, that's when there will be a lot of money to be made around here selling booze and drugs to opposing d coordinators.

Have thought that all along. With his low center of gravity , size, and quick feet...the first guy that came to mind was donald at Pitt and now wherever he is kicking butt in the league .

If Elmore wants any chance of playing at the next level it wont be as a RB

EXACTLY , the fullback at the pro level is extincf. The days if Mike Alstot are way over. 6', 300# with quick feet and athleticism is an OL nightmare. This is him (a spin on THIS is US):);)
