Complaining about the secondary when other positions have been far more disappointing is just naive IMO. Complain about the OL coaching, QB coaching, WR coaching, etc. Monroe is far from the worst of our problems.

Agreed. Also sometimes a coach is hired because he is a rain maker and just alright on Saturday. Not every coach kills it recruiting and coaching. However you want to look at it, Cisco is going to o get paid on Sundays and he was a Monroe guy. That’s what will matter to other kids he recruits.

Monroe is a position coach in an area with perhaps the most talent on the team and they make the same mistakes over and over and over again. And get beat in the same ways year after year.

Monroe coaches on a defense that has never been considered by anyone objective to be any good.

Cisco is a projected high pick because of raw athleticism and natural instincts. Numerous programs find gems and give them an avenue to the NFL.

If you want to blame depth on the roster, that's fine. Just look to the offensive side where we're at/near Grob levels of ineptitude.

Defense isn’t the issue overall. Everything related to the offense is and that’s with a supposed offensive guru.

Maybe we could start by making a playbook, get back to basics or something.
