Hope Gus didn't get too close to him, as he's leaving to coach under a different Gus in Jacksonville.

I thought only coaching changes happen at Syracuse

If you sit out a year, Gus - we'll welcome you back. Save yourself from a bad choice.

that's a shame, and immediately after LOIs were faxed in - crazy coincidence how the timing worked out

In the recruiting business, that's called doing it right.

In fact, I'm pretty sure our original plan was for Anselmo to miraculously get better from his mysterious illness today and claim that God came to him in a vision and told him to follow Doug to Buffalo... but Shafer put the kibosh on that soft-nosed garbage.

Richardson won't be the only one. The Georgia DC has been mentioned for two possible NFL DC openings.

Man that pisses me off. Richardson was Edward's main recruiter if I'm not mistaken.

Of course we wouldn't do something similar with Anselmo because we take the high road when it comes to such things. Oh well.

Any twitter thoughts from "Hop Off The Bus Gus" on this subject?

Any site reporters rushing to Tottenville for reaction?

This is a very news worthy story that should be delved into.

Stuff like that sells subscriptions.

It's all on the wheel ... sooner or later it all comes around.

I believe this had popped up as a rumor the day before signing day: Link

Wonder if anyone noticed, though?

1. When was the last time you talked to Terry Richardson and what did he have to say, about you and your future at the program?

2. Did your main recruiter & position coach Terry Richardson let you know that he was leaving Miami?

3. If so what was your reaction? If not what is your reaction along with your mom's?

4. What impact will this have on you?

5. Did he/they tell you who would be your new coach?

6. Are you having any second thoughts?

7. If this was all a big surprise/shock will you be able to trust these people you have entrusted to look out for you over the next 4-5 years?

8. Have you thought about retaining an attorney?

I really like these last two...

Feeling bad for the kid. Got roped in and lied to. At least we were straight up with him post-Marrone departure.

I'm sure Golden has got some more BS to reassure him.

one more

9. Have you heard they are under investigation and the penalties may be stiff?

______________________________________________________

Over the past few months Gus' dreams have all turned into nightmares.

Edwards worked hard his whole 4 years of high school to win the PSAL and play in Yankee Stadium.

The team for which he was the leader obtained the #1 ranking for much of the season.

Gus then decide's, along with his buddies, to taunt a 15 year old girl, Felicia Garc!a (last name not allowed on this site)

Felica, soon after this, commits suicide in front of schoolmates.

As a result of his actions, just before playoffs, he is thrown off his team.

The team loses in the championship 15-14.

He never got to enjoy the fruits of his 4 year labor. He never had a chance to help his team.

He could have been a hero that day, a New York City high school legend, for all time.

Instead he was on the sidelines as an example of poor decision making by a young man who didn't think of what harm could be done with mean words and insults.

This could haunt him the rest of his life, perhaps every time his head hits the pillow?

Gus decides to attend Miami then his coach leaves before the ink is dry on his letter of intent.

The school he chose is under heavy NCAA scruitiny.

Will this be another bad ending for young Mr. Edwards?
