Class of 2015 RB Dontae Strickland (NJ) Signed LOI

Isn't that sweet how Toadrick phrases that. He tries so hard to not mention Syracuse it's funny.

Recruiting in NJ next year will be very interesting. SU should do well this year--RU should do poorly. If that happens, watch out.

If we can manage to get 4-6 top 40 NJ kids a year, plus McDonald's So Florida haul we are setting ourselves up to have strong recruiting classes year after year. The key will be being able to keep guys like Acosta. Shows just how important it is to have coaches who already have ties to the area. You can't expect to hire guys and have them recruit areas where they don't have any relationships.

According to multiple analysts 2016 is one of the strongest and deepest classes in Jersey in quite awhile which bodes well for us

This is ridiculous.

"Since his Rutgers trek, Ellison has yet to visit any other schools, he says. However, there has been speculation that the Rutgers staff has slowed their pursuit of Ellison, and the Syracuse Orange have moved ahead of the Scarlet Knights in their recruitment of the talented defender. But Ellison says that's not entirely true."

Don Bosco CB Daivon Ellison talks Rutgers, Syracuse and his relationship with Dontae Strickland

From this article OE posted Strickland is suppose to be visiting again this weekend.

Maybe bringing Mom up for a visit?

From the article

"I'm actually talking to (Strickland), Dwon Walker and Jordan Fox, too (both of St. Peter's Prep, Jersey City, N.J.), right now. They are actually visiting Syracuse on the eighth (of June). All four of us like Syracuse."

Oh be still my beating heart

I have a feeling that Rutgers is going to be "slowing down their pursuit" of a lot of recruits in the next few years.

A resurgent Penn St. Access to all the other B1G schools now. And Syracuse becoming a player again.

They're in a lot of trouble.

And the fans know it. Not many happy with the progress of recruiting.
