Donald Dinkins and Kader Drame were the last 2 recruits I remember from New Haven. Both were DT starters. I remember Rob Jackson (West Haven) and a kid from Hamden (Ball?) a few years ago not making it but not sure of any others. And of coarse Idris Price ended up playing at The University of New Haven!

As others have noted sounds like Domer going to the Illini has made the offer to Erv a full blown ride with no conditions. If you believe the cryptic tweets, sounds like a commit is imminent.

the offer was always a full blown ride. from everything i have seen he has been a priority recruit since he was offered. Domer was plan B after Ollison, Ish, and Erv

I don't think it will be Illinois. I think he eventually comes to SU. Its a far better fit for him here. After PTG goes on his merry way we need a back like Erv in the backfield. A real shake and bake type runner.Even if Ollison comes,he fits well here.

not only is he going to Illinois, but he explained the absolutely correct reasoning for going to Illinois. He was trying to explain to Aaron Roberts on twitter the benefits of staying local. He was telling him how your home state is more likely to take care of you. This kid gets it, plus he was our 4th option.

I always liked Illinois as a property in Monopoly. In football, not so much.
