I asked my nephew, season ticket holder and knowledgeable about all things LSU, for his evaluation. Here goes:
"Brian Kelly underutilized him here, amongst other things. The kid came in as a DB, but was converted to RB, when we had depth issues before the 2024 season. He can play QB, but I don’t think he projects as that (although he would like to and may play it in spots for the CUSE).
The mismanagement of the RB's this past year by Frank Wilson was baffling.
Ju'Juan is a good kid, did everything asked of him, and team player, he just could never find his niche here.. When he did play, he didn’t really do anything to set himself apart to garner more playing time. Coaching didn't help.
Unfortunately, he doesn't really fit into Kiffin's offensive scheme, so I'm pretty sure he was told he could go back to DB and fight for playing time over there or go find somewhere else to play. He chose to go somewhere else. I assume he wants to play RB. He's a big RB, just needs to work on quick decision making and vision (better coaching should help).
He's a good kid. Look forward to watching him develop."
