Cleveland Heights’ Marquise Davis named Gatorade Ohio Football Player of the Year

In its 39th year of honoring the nation’s most elite high school athletes, Gatorade Wednesday announced Marquise Davis of Cleveland Heights High School is the 2023-24 Gatorade Ohio Football Player of the Year.

Davis is the first Gatorade Ohio Football Player of the Year to be chosen from Cleveland Heights High School.

The award, which celebrates the nation’s top high school athletes for excellence on the field, in the classroom and in the community, distinguishes Davis as Ohio’s best high school football player.

I think it’s somewhat relevant when it’s a kid that Fran-era SU has offered. When it’s a kid that was offered by Babers in like 2020, we probably don’t need to see that. But there are much bigger problems in the world
