Reason for samuels being out

Unfortunately, Troy Weaver was also the coach of DC Assault before Dalonte Hill. He came to SU as an assistant in 2000 after Louis Orr left. Two seasons later he brought us Melo.

It is kind of sad, actually. These kids are often broke, even with their scholarships.

You have absolutely no idea how true that is.

There is a player who was on the SU football team, a phenomenal athlete, who was homeless in FL growing up (essentially).

Think about that for a bit. Homeless.

I read today that he needed money to 'feed his family' and it wasn't for himself.
I'd be curious to hear his family situation. $200 doesn't go very far if this is to 'feed his family'.

he had 8 and 8 which isn't much different than what spalding does. yea, he led the team in rebs and was 2nd in scoring, but gipson who replaced him only averaged 3 ppg and 2rpg less in far fewer minutes. and henriquez more than made up the rebounds. he doubled what he averaged. all spalding would have done is take points and rebs from henriquez and gipson. it wouldn't have been additive to what those 2 did.

Anyway, I don't think it's as cut and dried. Gipson was forced to play a lot more than usual. He was their only option because Diaz showed nothing in his brief stint on the floor. When Henriquez went out, Samuels and Gipson could have played together. Samuels is a good player. I think his talent and experience are being underestimated.

But to me, that's no different than thinking Christmas take Melo's place without missing a beat. If only it were that simple.
