Potential buzz. Absolutely no reason why we shouldn't start 3-0 heading into LSU. 3-0 would build a nice amount of buzz, and the fact that LSU is in the Dome, should provide damn near a sellout. Losing to LSU should not dampen the good feelings too much. It's LS Freeking U afterall. After that, there is no reason we shouldn't be able to knock off USF and UVA on the road before another winnable game at home vs. Pitt making us 6-1 going into Florida State, bowl eligible, and on the cusp of the top 25. Through 7 games, best case scenario is 6-1, worst case is 4-3 in my opinion.
If a 6-1 Cuse team doesn't build buzz, and start filling the dome, nothing will.

We used to run trick plays when we had Graves at QB. Even Marrone/Hackett weren't above calling a flea flicker in a bowl game. You don't "resort" to trick plays. You employ them.

McNabb, too. Kevin Rogers used to call them a lot, and so did Coach Mac, if you want to go way back. I remember a flea flicker by McNabb against Rutgers for something like a 70 yard touchdown in that game we hung 70 points on them.

Yup - that was the game we didn't take the pedal off the metal because the previous year their coaching staff bitched and moaned about us running straight into the line and/or taking knees midway through the 4th quarter because we were beating them something like 50-3 and wanted to show a bit of mercy.
