A highly entertaining article on si.com pertaining to a team with recruiting classes in the 50s, few if any four star players, and what they accomplish with their gameplans.

I wish Syracuse would make an effort to emulate this program in the sense that they took what they had or could get, and came up with a gameplan that compensated for their (relative) lack of stars, and it WORKED. They don't recruit top-10 classes, but finish in the top 10. Part of it is the competition, which is not any more challenging than the Big East has been.
I'm all for superstar classes, but I'd just like to see a more accomplished product on the field.
