Recruiting violation?

So, you think we should dismiss his allegation because there's no penalty if he's wrong?
You're making too much commotion about a 2 bit news shrill, who just wants hits. If the guy had any real info he should have contacted Bowling Green, which obviously hasn't been done.

I take allegations seriously ... I also take BS with a grain of salt ...

Why no follow up story or reporting?

Edit: I just think that it is crazy anyone, especially a supposed professional, can just throw something out there, with one source (aren't journo's supposed to have multiple sources?) in some random tweet, that can imply serious rules violations (especially at a school on probation already), but then do no follow up or further explanation. I think there should be some sort of accountability held for all parties, including the journalist, if nothing comes from this. IF (big if) something comes from this, I will be extremely disappointed by the actions of the staff and the misstep in light of recent events.

I think we should dismiss it as trash like the other 99% of claims made on Twitter.

Why would the reporter "break it" on Twitter? He has a job and an avenue where it would make more sense. Axe would write a sourced article published on syr . com. Makes me think his source isn't as steady as he's saying. Or it happened during the lead up to the bowl game when they were not Syracuse employees yet.

I'm not dismissing it - but there are way more questions than answers. The reporter needs to do the work to make his case, not throw allegations out and then disappear.

If true, this is a secondary violation at best. Self report, take a scholarship away for a year if you have to, and move on.

I thought it was implied that someone on the staff tipped him off.

Or player or old girlfriend or staff or whom ever.

The guy is a BG alum. I'm assuming he knows a bunch of people on campus.

Some way, some how...you always seem to find the negative slant in any topic.
Now it's his fault. He is afraid of the NCAA as any SU fan in their right mind should be.

From what I hear this "reporter" likes to chase rumors. IMO he put it out on twitter in an attempt to get a response from BGSU. If you read the entire twitter feed the BGSU AD is not discussing any rumors of transfers.

How can you say that? This "reporter" has a "reputation"! He said so himself.
