How hard is it to learn when the offense is a pick and roll and stand around the baseline? More like we don’t run a system that enables George to achieve his ceiling.
Agreed. Considering we have no system, I don’t understand why the staff didn’t just teach to GTs offensive sets once George committed. It wasn’t like you were throwing out some deep and hard to understand play book

I kind of thought that would be the plan and it would be more effective with Syracuse 4 star and 5 star players around him. I came in thinking the offense would be the strength of this team.

Knowing Red and staff they probably couldn't figure it out so they said just stay with the old JB system.

Have to say this is the most upset I’ve seen Red. When he walked off the court after the game his body language was very clear. Hard to tell if he was upset with his team or the officials. He often says that “we talked about this or that and we didn’t do it”. Talking about it doesn’t prepare your team. You have to teach it, show it and practice what you want done. Talking about it doesn’t prepare anything. First of all, kids don’t always listen. SHOW THEM EXACTLY WHAT IT SHOULD LOOK LIKE. If they don’t do it right, show and do it again. I truly believe Red knows what he wants to do, but I’m not sure they are getting their message across to the players. Dan is the only coach on the bench I see engaged with players and especially with officials. Brendan is supposed to be an offense mind on the staff, but I don’t see it. What really stinks is the 45 minutes it takes to get out of the west parking lots. It’s more of a cluster ? Than the team.

I stopped watching press conferences the last several years of JB's tenure. I realized it was best for my mental health especially after watching the games.
I stopped watching after the first two or three press conferences from Red. He says nothing. Gives no information. And is so uncomfortable. At least with Boeheim, he was honest and there was promise of him going off or sending a message.

I didn’t watch the whole thing but saw a clip on social media of the intro… heard “Level 5” again. Enough is enough. Just stop.

To-do list…
Work on free throws.
Know and stick with defensive assignments.
Get ball in hands of playmakers to close a game.

Our problem we have no playmakers. This team makes plays individually, but not as a team. They don’t create for simple plays. Everything is difficult except an occasional lob dunk.

They all walked off like they left their own funeral.

Haha I came on to say the same thing. That being said, I do miss the old Boeheim pressers (when we were good). He was funny, and when he was pist off, he was hilarious. Total cartoon character.

Not to get overly nostalgic, but as a kid I would get so gut wrenched after a loss, and the Boeheim pressers would help me get over it - I’d be cracking up at this old guy losing his mind at some student journalist or local reporter.

Totally agree though, towards the end he became overly bitter and we stunk. I don’t think I’ve watched one besides some clips here and there for years.
