How hard is it to learn when the offense is a pick and roll and stand around the baseline? More like we don’t run a system that enables George to achieve his ceiling.“[george] is still learning the system”
What system?
Agreed. Considering we have no system, I don’t understand why the staff didn’t just teach to GTs offensive sets once George committed. I kind of thought that would be the plan and it would be more effective with Syracuse 4 star and 5 star players around him. I came in thinking the offense would be the strength of this team.Agreed. Knowing Red and staff they probably couldn't figure it out so they said just stay with the old JB system.Agreed. They have 4 guys who shoot 35% or better from three. Seems like we should have been prepared to defend that. How many teams shoot 66% from 3 in a game? It says they made 12 but seemed like they were like 22-24

2 things I never want to hear again:Took him all of 70 seconds before he said "Level 5"
Yup. They can say it internally as much as they want, but we don't need to hear it.2 things I never want to hear again:
Level 5.
Juicing Station.
Enough with the schtick.
I prefer the “throw the ball up and let the boys play” style of coaching.Crazy talk……..Prepare what is that?
I stopped watching after the first two or three press conferences from Red. He says nothing. Gives no information. And is so uncomfortable. At least with Boeheim, he was honest and there was promise of him going off or sending a message.I stopped watching press conferences the last several years of JB's tenure. I realized it was best for my mental health especially after watching the games.
Our problem we have no playmakers. This team makes plays individually, but not as a team. They don’t create for simple plays. Everything is difficult except an occasional lob dunk.I didn’t watch the whole thing but saw a clip on social media of the intro… heard “Level 5” again. Enough is enough. Just stop.
To-do list…
Work on free throws.
Know and stick with defensive assignments.
Get ball in hands of playmakers to close a game.
They all walked off like they left their own funeral.Have to say this is the most upset I’ve seen Red. When he walked off the court after the game his body language was very clear. Hard to tell if he was upset with his team or the officials. He often says that “we talked about this or that and we didn’t do it”. Talking about it doesn’t prepare your team. You have to teach it, show it and practice what you want done. Talking about it doesn’t prepare anything. First of all, kids don’t always listen. SHOW THEM EXACTLY WHAT IT SHOULD LOOK LIKE. If they don’t do it right, show and do it again. I truly believe Red knows what he wants to do, but I’m not sure they are getting their message across to the players. Dan is the only coach on the bench I see engaged with players and especially with officials. Brendan is supposed to be an offense mind on the staff, but I don’t see it. What really stinks is the 45 minutes it takes to get out of the west parking lots. It’s more of a cluster ? Than the team.
