Reed really closely here

Rudolph Reed....Rudy Reed, the one and the same.

must be a lot of young posters here tonight. he was one of my favorite linebackers here

10th most tackles ever in a cuse game

By the way whoever Jim Collins was, guy was freaking nasty.

to become a Detective as a sheriff takes a lot of smarts, but to falsify timesheets does not.

Jim Collins was great and way under rated on some bad teams. But not afterwords

Collins, one of Syracuse's leading tackles has standards for game (42), season (229) and career (624) tackles. He had 22 solo stops and 20 assists in a 1979 game against Penn State. He totalled 45 career sacks in the NFL for the Los Angeles Rams and the San Diego Chargers. He was named to Syracuse University's All-Century team in November,1999.

Those Numbers should be putting him in the college football hall of fame.

If he didn't miss any games out of the 45 he played he would have averaged over 14 tackles a game over 4 years

42 in one game is amazing -- would love to see that.

Yup. We had a kid have the game of their life the other night. Seemed like his name was called on every play. He had 18 tackles! I remember watching Collins play and he was the best MLB I ever saw at SU. Think Daryl Johnston as a MLB and you have Jim. 2nd round draft pick and 2 time All-Pro in the NFL not bad either.
