Rickie Collins

No alcohol involved.

Bnoro tried to claim the last slice by doing that thing where you lick your thumb and jam it into the slice.

But that didn't deter me, I started eating it, and the temperature rose.

So that dumpster behind Pizza Hut saw a scuffle.
I’d be willing to bet that with your sense of humor and ability to ruffle feathers, Bnoro isn’t the only person that you’ve had a Kerfuffle with.

I am a habitual kerfuffler.

Yeah but it's not as intimidating anymore now that I'm duck-sized.
I want Rickie to succeed, because that means Syracuse is successful. But we can't have another game where we go into halftime with only 3 or 7 points. He has to show in the first half he can run the offense and score points. If he can't he needs to be replaced.

I'm more interested in whether the Pizza Hut has a salad bar

his passing was atrocious but my favorite Beck play last nite was when he left the pocket to scramble for a 1st down , dove headfirst for the marker although he could have easily reached it upright , and was marked short. no arm , no legs , no judgement. DAT'S a BAD COMBO !

This is such a tough matchup for Collins. Everything Pitt does on defense is going to be too much for him to process. I think Nixon really simplifies things today.
Looking at the schedule Pittsburgh this week, and at Georgia Tech next week. If Rickie starts this week he plays this week and next no matter what happens. There is no sense bringing one of the youngsters in to play an away game at Georgia Tech.
Wait until North Carolina comes in for a home game. Hopefully things go well for Rickie and we don't need a QB change.

I get it.

But I keep hearing things thrown around like "loyalty," when I think it might just come down to a simpler explanation of Carney not being as ready right now, at this stage of his developmental curve, as Collins.

Doesn't mean that in another year he won't surpass him, or that his long-term potential might exceed Collins. But the coaches see these guys every day in practice.

I agree 100% that whatever "it" is, Collins doesn't have it. He still might be our best option to win three games
Carney may not be totally ready right now, but we believe the talent is there. I don’t think anyone can say Rickie is ready and he’s out there. At least Carney gives the offense something with his legs. Any advantage, as slight as it is, we need it at this point. I would have liked to see the switch made coming out of the bye so he would have got 2 weeks of snaps with the 1’s, but if we see the same old Rickie as the last 8 quarters, at some point he needs to pull the trigger. Plus, with Angeli coming back for 2 more years, there is a good chance we never even see what Carney has, as I doubt he will sit the bench for another 2 seasons and then have to compete against whoever we have at that point. Being from Texas those are the type of kids that wouldn’t think twice about leaving. Definitely not saying that’s the reason to play him, but I’d at least like to see what he has. What’s the worst thing that can happen? Go back to Rickie?

Most times I would agree with you, but this season has gone off the rails, and unless Rickie plays well tonight, and wins. You don't want to throw the youngster into the game on the road and possibly lose his confidence before he gets settled in.
Wait until North Carolina where he gets a full week of practice, and plays at home.
Hopefully Rickie wins tonight and we don't have to worry about starting Luke.

I wanted him to get ready to play tonight at home coming off a bye. I have a feeling we're going to see Rickie the rest of the season, no matter how bad he is.

He shouldn't be allowed out for the second half after that INT. As basic as you can get with two high safeties and man coverage and he threw it right to him. That's a play most HS QBs don't screw up.
Then to throw it 15 feet away from Vilari. Gill made a great catch for the TD. It shouldn't be THAT hard on that play. He is terrible.
