I'm sometimes a bit hesitant to say it but I am one of the many veterans on this site. But I "only" served in the National Guard (the truck unit out of the E. Genesee St. Armory) and Army Reserve (JAG unit in the Bronx). Spent 4 months at Fort Dix for basic training and advanced school being trained as a truck driver and instructing others. Two week summer camp at Fort Drum, Fort Smith in Peeskill, Fort Monmouth, and the JAG school at the U of Va in Charlottsville. Would love to hear from all the veterans on this site with Veterans Day coming up in 11 days. (maybe we should have separate thread, or maybe it's already been done on here before I joined.)

Be nice to explain that why, but it isn't often good to give out current info. But none of that involves me either.

He wasn’t the only one - Beck was pouting and making a scene on the Miami sideline in the first half before they scored. At that point I thought maybe our defense could frustrate him into some mistakes and make a game of it for us. Bad attitude can be a real advantage for the other team.

Gotta feel bad for Wisky and Okey Lite -
given how turrible Rickie has been, their QB's have - somehow - been even worse.

Also kinda shocking so many "name" QB's are sucking wind (and/or other things) this season:
LaNorris Sellers, Bryce Underwood, Nussmeier, Nico Iamaleava, Arch Manning, yada yada yada.

Sellers problem is his OL sucks. Good thing we don't have that issue at SU

Assume he ends up at one of the Louisiana schools [La Tech? Rajin Cajuns? Etc.], and will benefit from dropping down a level, a la Jacobian Morgan.

I felt like jacobian made plays when thrown out there way too early. I did not feel that way with Rickie.

Agreed. We lost games with Jacobian, but he still performed reasonably well. Or at least, you could see the potential, he just needed experience. Not suggesting he ever would have been a top flight P4 quarterback, but at least the foundational capabilities were there.

Rickie Collins is a class act, so I don't want to be too critical -- wish him the best wherever he ends up -- but he didn't demonstrate that he had those same foundational capabilities, and did little to suggest that he would ever even be serviceable.

He is likely to work with Fran and behind the scenes before announcing a decision, if so, he can enter the portal fray and exit quickly. I wish him all the best.

There is a rumor circulating on X that Rickie is indeed staying ... again its a rumor so I have no idea how true it is.

If this is indeed true the kid has a huge set of cahones and an unbreakable spine. After this past year and all the spewed hate toward him. I have to imagine Fran is talking with him and saying there is a future, just fight thru the short term.
