Agreed. We lost games with Jacobian, but he still performed reasonably well. Or at least, you could see the potential, he just needed experience. Not suggesting he ever would have been a top flight P4 quarterback, but at least the foundational capabilities were there.
Rickie Collins is a class act, so I don't want to be too critical -- wish him the best wherever he ends up -- but he didn't demonstrate that he had those same foundational capabilities, and did little to suggest that he would ever even be serviceable.
