RIP Mike Leach

College football goes through ebbs and flows where it will be more defense-oriented for a decade or two and then more offense-oriented for a decade or two. Like the numbers that it took for a QB to win the Heisman look putrid in the 80s/90s compared to what it takes today. Right now we are in an extremely pro-offense period where defenses just haven't quite figured out how to stop the spread (similar to how the triple option was the offense du jour for awhile until it wasn't). Mike Leach is the reason for that more than anyone.

this is a pretty long ebb. if we had to wait longer for a flow, we would be chip at a dome trough.

I actually thought of your posts comparing Marvin Harrison's numbers to like Steve Ishmael's numbers and how they're not even in the same ballpark.

You might remember better than me but I think it might been amba Etta tawo. I just thought it was so funny how many good SU wr he passed for his career here

MSU will be amped in this game to win it for Leach. Illinois is in trouble. I see the line is Illinois -2. Did it open at that?

It should be noted that Coach Anae, and thus Coach Beck, are both twigs off the Coach Leach coaching tree.

Anae’s first job at a Power Five program was on Mike Leach's staff at Texas Tech, where he served as offensive line coach from 2000-04.
