Whew...wasn't sure if it was a confession or observation...enjoyed your post on Rights & Wrongs
Spent way too much time up there out of my mind

I never spent time there, but it carried some fame in the late 70s as well. I was on Mt. Olympus.

The show "I Shouldn't be Alive" is calling Rob.

One of the biggest travesty's in SU history was Rogers taking the ball out of Rob's hands against NCST. Tried to feature McNabb on an ESPN Thursday night game, (Heisman maybe?). D the bed, three Int's, and Tory Holt later SU had a bad loss and the season was derailed.

Was that the game we lost 38-14? That was less about Konrad and more about the defense getting drilled. Barnett and Holt killed us. I think that's the game we rushed Allen back from injury and he got ate up.

We also went 6-1 after that, only losing at WVU, so I'm not sure the season was derailed.

Konrad was unstoppable on the first drive. It was time for the McNabb show, and he killed them with three Ints.

Best way to beat a time with a dynamic QB and an all time NFL WR with a defense, in particular a secondary that was young and hurt, BALL CONTROL, but Kevin didn't do that.

Just looked at the stats. Rob had the one run for 12 yards but after that rushed 4 times for 14 yards. We ran the ball well as a team. 35 for 209. But we got down 28-10 by half.

Thank god he is OK. Being the athlete he is I am sure helped him make it.

Wow. This gave me the chills. If he wasn't such an incredible athlete, hard to imagine he would've made it.
Combine that with an amazing will to live, and he is here to see another day.

RK truly has a guardian angel looking over his shoulder.

Must have been Old Walter he was trying to land. Agree with Rocco, what a will to live to survive 9 hours in the ocean. What a story.

This is just amazing. I can't even imagine swimming that much when you've been training to do it, let alone having to do it on the spur of the moment. Tremendous endurance.

NC State ended up 40th in college football reference SRS rating despite only being 7-5. They were one of the 2 teams to beat FSU that year

Game might've gone better if we had a defensive coordinator
