RTB in the portal

If you had read the entire thread you'd know exactly how tall he is and other important information regarding RTB who graduated from the same CT HS as Dwight Freeney as was mentioned in an earlier post XC.

Russell Thompson Bishop, WR recruit a few years back. He was tall, I think 6'5". Never materialized at SU.

lol RTB was like 6 foot, 230+ pounds WR. I think you’re thinking of Cam Jordan .

Would love to have seen this kid on the field but it wasn't going to happen here. Maybe a school like Maine, Stony Brook or UNH would be a good fit for RTB.

From Bloomfield, CT played mostly special teams. Same HS as Dwight Freeney

Meh, I had a better powerball #. It got me $5 on a $2 quick pick.

Yeah, there were 4 in that class. It was Nykeim, Sharrod, Cam Jordan, RTB. RTB was the only one that never cracked the rotation. Like some others, I had also forgotten that he was still on the team.

You see he ballooned to 230? I wonder if they ever thought about giving him a crack at RB or Safety? Kid was an athlete, wish I knew more about his story on the Hill. I really thought he was going to be the best of the group.

247 lbs on last year's roster:

He is the anti-Taj.

Wonder if coaches tried to move him to another position, or if he refused/couldn't do it. Frightening safety or even linebacker size.
That local kid Dennis for Pitt was a qb to lb. We used to recruit lots of hs qbs for other positions; still like that strategy. I guess Harris was one of those.

Good luck to him. Hope he finds a good home where he gets a chance to play a lot right away. Rutgers. UMass. Uconn. Those all seem like good fits.

It said in an article I saw that he is 6-1 and 247 pounds (!). I'm guessing that extra weight had a lot to do with him not seeing the field.
