And it’s not just the guy. It’s typically a family move. Once a coach has kids in high school it gets trickier to move. Even leaving the family behind for a few years would be taxing. Staying within a 2-hour drive of the family (and potentially postponing a career boost) could be more enticing.
I don't get these comments. Many Big Ten schools are in locations that are actually colder and also receive considerable amounts of snow. On top of that, many are also even more isolated geographically and from prime recruiting grounds. I lived in Morgantown for six years, and winter didn't seem all that different from upstate NY. They got less snow than the immediate Syracuse area, but that just seemed to make winter even more gloomy, if anything.

Any news from your source on what did or didn't happen with the DC they thought was signed up? Maybe nothing has changed and the process is ongoing?
Another source told me they heard the DC has already been hired. That is why I was thrown for a loop about Rockyapoolza. My theory is it (the school) is waiting out a buyout clause or a bump down after a set date in January.
