Rumor

Has John Wildhack ever declared if the collectives are still being run by themselves, ended or run by the University? He said he hoped to make a determination by July 1. If the donations went through SU they would be tax deductible.

Right around July 1, an SU Athletics spokesperson told me that the three collectives remain in operation, even though John had made that prior statement about streamlining things. I know that Orange United, for one, has had discussions with Wildhack about its future. These third-party collectives would not be run by the university, and Wildhack has stressed the importance of them to supplement in-house revenue-sharing.

If we want to play and hang with the big boys, then we need big boy NIL contributors. Any "agreement" is good by me if that includes Wildhack and Severud.
Apparently we have lots of "big boy" NIL contributors. That's why we signed the guys we did this offseason. There was no talk that we were hurting for money and missed out on someone because of that.

If someone else wants to come onboard and donate money in the exact same way that all of those other "big boys" did then that person is more than welcome to do so.

Yeah, but do they make you feel like they are as important?;)

Again, irrelevant if it's the same amounts from Weitsman as before. Big boy NIL contributor means $500k to several million into the collective from one person. Can't believe we're falling for this again.
