I dont know how someone can listen to Jungleland live and not like him. Or stripped down Thunder Road on the piano (the way it was intended). Now if your listening to Born in the USA I see how you can get there. But there is no way you can listen to these two songs (and others) and not like it...this is musical georgeousness...

I think it is easy o write off Bruce Springsteen if you are looking at the last ten years. Same with the Rolling Stones, the Who, etc. Doesn't change that they are all icons and game changers in music.

I saw Springsteen in 1976 at the SUNY Oswego Hewitt Union Ballroom. Less than 1000 people there. Four hour show. Been an avid fan ever since.
