Russ Smith Returning to Louisville

Why do people think that these kids can't get their degree if they leave schoool early? They just have to pay for it.
Smith was a better player than Siva, but didn't do all the clutching and grabbing Siva got away with. Louisville is now a top 5 team preseason. I commend the kid for coming back he was at best a 2nd round pick and since he is a Junior can get a college degree as I doubt he would have made an NBA team next year. I hope someone on the Hill realizes its better to get a degree than take a gamble and fall to the 2nd round. C.J. should look no further than fellow Baltimore native Donte Greene who left early thinking he was at worst a mid-1st round pick and fell to the 25th, and 25th would be optimistic for Fair.

Is Dieng leaving? Losing him and Siva would be big. Who do they have coming in?

Some very good guards, one being Terry Rozier, I've seen them talk about him and hype him a bit. I haven't seen any video on him yet though.

Louisville returns Harrell, Behanen, Hancock, Van Treese, Kevin Ware and Russ Smith. Chris Jones, (a 5' 10" sparkplug of a PG and National Juco POY), Rozier and Anton Gill come in as guard prospects. Mangok Maithing is a Dieng clone - 6' 10" and thin - Pitino describes as a "Syracuse-like /C" also shows up after a redshirt year as a , along with longshot Akoy Agau, a 6' 9" PF type.

Someone better tell his dad since his dad was hell bent he was gone after they won the championship.

Do you all think this means Louisville maintains #1 overall as the season begins?

Not only that, but they may actually hold the #1 spot for the entire season since they will play in just about the crappiest basketball conference this side of the Mississippi. They will have the same advantage that Kentucky does in the SEC...playing nobody. If Louisville doesn't win that conference by 5 games going away, I'll be shocked. I mean SHOCKED! That group of basketball teams is a heap of steaming puss.

Is there a possibility SU plays UL in an OOC game?

Louisville has excellent talent coming in next year - Anton Gill, Terry Rozier, Chris Jones, and Akoy Agau. The 8th highest class according to ESPN, of course SU is #7 on that site. So, yes, Louisville will again be near the preseason top with Russ back and a healthy Ware, really only loosing Siva and Dieng.

Is Jones a scorer like Russ?

Hard to believe this kid wouldn't be a 1st rounder. He's a little wild but man can he score the ball. Kind of like a Nate Robinson. How did Pitino convince him, Behanen, and Harrell to return? That guy could sell ice to eskimos.

*losing* I'm sorry. I know I'm being a douche by assuming the role of spelling police, but the loose-vs-lose trend is something that needs to be reversed.

Sorry about that. Actually, I am meticulous when it comes to this type of thing, and I review a lot of written material in my work. This one must have slipped through the cracks. Good catch. I had loose fingers (or is it lose fingers...lol).
