I hate that it’s always a bargain for this, yet I watched a good amount of college football this weekend and saw tons of electric environments. Yeah yeah, I know. 1-10, masks, yada yada. It’s always the same argument, just wishing things were different in Syracuse.

Is the mask requirement and proof of vaccination going to hold down attendance? I am watching all these games this weekend with packed houses and I doubt any of these schools have these requirements including the southern schools where Covid is surging. I'm at least seeing no mask wearing anywhere at these games.

i guess will it be like the fair or not.. I have to think there is a chunk who wont come because of the masks and be careful.

Going to say 34,500k. Would have thought it was 40k plus without restrictions etc.

Is anyone going the "get tested" route for the game saturday? Everywhere I look the turnaround time for a result is 3-5 days which does me no good.

None at the US Open either and that's inside (sometimes) and in New York.

I would think it's 40-41k ish in regular times. So i'm going to knock 5-7k off for the testing/mask requirements. Going 36,500.

This response is emblematic of the massive disinformation plague this Country faces. Someone says something (correctly), someone immediately gets upset about it, then the rant, and follow-up rants, ensue. You literally could have taken the time you posted the above, done a quick google search, and found mask wearing policies for any school you were interested in.

And FWIW, masking in doors, seems to be pretty universal stuff. We have an on campus, indoor facility, it would be a massive liability exposure, particularly in New York, to not mandate masks for spectators.

OK - US Open has two indoor courts (sometimes with the roof opening and closing). Doesn't seem to be the case there or summarily ignored.

Probably very few kids under 12, unfortunately.
My 10year old son wants to go but with school starting tomorrow don't think we'll have the time to get a test?

I deleted my post as I dont really feel like perpetuating a fight. It may be they're under different guidelines as they are not a school. Or, as you said, they could just be ignoring it. I honestly dont know much about that venue.

Not to make any type of political comment about masks (I’m indifferent to the issue) but we will look kind of silly if we’re the only fanbases on television wearing them. That being said, my wife will be pleased with it when we go next month.

It's in NYC, which has it's own rules, so it's not some loosey goosey SEC type place. I cannot imagine they're ignoring guidelines being on national TV every sing day with high profile types in the front rows.
