Rutgers game...

Oh the irony given your finish six out of the last seven years in the Big East!

Sure.

Yet somehow the ACC wanted us over you. Do you understand that? Or should I explain that to you?

He probably doesn't know the difference between $17m and $3-6m either.

Geez, Bees, isn't the 3 more than 1 by 2, and the 6 is just one less than 7, so in RRRUUU math, they are up by $1MM. (sarcasm off)

Of course, not being able to have a rational conversation with them and their fans may be another reason the ACC didn't want them, but hey, let them have their delusion.

Here's Rutgers record against SU when the the coach is anybody not named Greg Robinson, 7-30-1.

' off.
Bang!!!!

you had a football team before 2006...jeez the last winning youve had prior to 2006 was probably back in the 70's. please stop comparing these programs...again if we dont fire coach p... rutgers would be playing in the mac and still sucking...oh wait.. i must be predicting your future of your powerhouse program. now you stay classy.

Actually, the last winning season prior to 2006 was 1992. They've had a nice 6-7 years...big deal. Their history speaks for itself...so will their future. Obviously, the major players in college football don't take them seriously, otherwise, they would've been invited somewhere with all the expansion over the past few years. I'm not sure why so many here continue to swallow that dude's hook, line & sinker, especially, when considering the bait. :noidea:

I'll come back win or lose to talk about our game...
I'll miss Rutgers. I can't see us creating this type of rivalry with any ACC team. Not Maryland. BC fans have lost interest in their program. And Pitt has never been much of a rival. Wake? NC State? Florida State? Just don't see it.

With Rutger's only recently being somewhat relevant, I don't think many SU fans think of them as some arch or major type rival, the history is just not there. I don't know how you can say that BC fans have lost interest in their program any more than ours, presuming you're basing that on attendance and things of that nature?

Rivalries are generally built over time, and I think in time, as long as we become/remain relevant and a player ourselves, new rivalries in the ACC will be born.

Can we just ban this guy? Why does he even come over here?

I hear you. But only little. I hope we can become rivals with BC again. Hopefully Maryland, too. I've never thought of Pitt as much of a rival. I guess it comes from growing up in Jersey and living in Connecticut. Those are the games that light my fire, UConn and Rutgers. Proximity matters to me.

and u havent played anybody and are still stuck in this shitty conference? Not to mention you have never won anything...:rolling:

I wonder if Rutgirls will have offensive linemen lineup in the backfield again, players pretend they are injured, run the the wild rutgirl or whatever they call it, dive at players knees...

Disagree about the last one and as for the first three items, we'll see what RU can do with this year but I can assure you that SU has no shot in achieving any of them...[/quote]

REALLY LATE AND AGAIN AT WORK IN THE LAND OF BORZAK KEYBOARDS BUT WE ALREAY ACHIEVED ONE OF THEM.

A C C ??? DID YOU REALLY POST THAT?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Kyle's a good guy.

...

Flood had a lot of good things to say about Marrone, Nassib and your team at the press conference today...

If you want to see it go to scarletknights.com

I watched it, pretty respectful. Him and Marrone only grew up a few miles apart as the crow flies, assuming the crow goes over the Throgs Neck Bridge and stays on the Clearview.

Thanks for posting access to the press conference. A little coach speak but overall a good listen. I have to say that Flood is doing much better than I thought he might be doing when he took the job. Also, every time I hear Scott Vallone's name, I wish he was 0n the 'Cuse roster. He'll be playing on Sundays somewhere. The game should be a good game with T/O's and Special Teams determining the outcome. I will be interesting to see which team wins in the trenches as well.

Still early in his tenure to know for sure but the early indications are very promising with the Flood hire.

Vallone is a beast. That guy never comes off the field and takes on double teams every play which frees up the linebackers to make plays...

Clearly meant the first three items on that list...

LOL Ok so how many seasons has RU finished in the top 25 over their long distinguished history? You still haven't answered the question ... it amazes me that you come over here and flap your yap over a few mediocre seasons. Even if they win out ... which won't happen ... win the BE ... which also won't happen and go to a BCS Bowl they will get destroyed in their one lone appearance in their program history because I have news for you, you won't ever be going back. That program has accomplished nothing ... and won't anytime soon.

In RU's "illustrious" history they have played in 7 bowl games ... 7! They have played Iowa St, Central Florida, Kansas St, Arizona St x 2, NC St and Ball St winning 5 of them. In 6 consecutive seasons SU played SEC champ Auburn and tied them in the Sugar Bowl, defeated LSU, defeated Georgia, defeated Arizona, defeated Ohio State and then defeated a Kordell Stewart led Colorado team ... RU doesn't have that many quality wins against big boy schools in their entire history let alone in 6 consecutive bowl games.

RU has finished in the AP top 25 four times in their history, was once ranked to start the season and has only been ranked for 33 weeks in their "amazing" history. SU was pre-season ranked 14 times .. finished ranked 15 times and ranked 197 weeks during those stretches ... how can you even compare the two histories is what astonishes me. The highest ranking RU ever achieved was 7th in 2006 and finished ranked 12th that year. SU has been ranked at least 7th or higher in a given season 9 times ... including #1 on 2 occasions including a #1 finish in 1959.

Your SOS for this season is 112 ... SU's is 61st. Aren't you the least bit ashamed? The last time your SOS was 61 or better was 07 ... good lord man ... schedule pasties and try to make yourselves look pretty ... its the same MO.

I don't know of any C-USA teams that had the Orange bowl chairman(even though its way pre mature) in attendance this past weekend...

Isn't said Chairman a SUNJ-Piscataway alumnus?

Isn't said Chairman a SUNJ-Piscataway alumnus?

Yes, but that has nothing to do with the fact that the Orange bowl sent him to represent the bowl because he is the chairman. He didn't come as a casual fan. He was there as an official representative from the Orange Bowl.

Surprised. I saw that play and was afraid he was paralyzed for a few seconds.

If he had a head injury I would be shocked if they let him play although I'm happy it wasn't serious then.

Appreciate it. I'm sure that hit brought back some not so pleasent memories for RU fans. Any recent updates on LeGrand?

All message board BS aside, you never wish to see anything like that on an opposing player.

Agreed on LeGrand ... the whole twitter thing made it that much worse ...
