Rutgers reconsidering Rice

Was Rice the coach when the shooting guard with the nice 3-pt shot, Mike Rosario, decided to transfer to Florida? If so, I can see why he would transfer.

Pernetti suspended him 3 games, but remember those games were against UAB, Howard and Rider. The fourth game would have been us, what a shock that he picked three games instead of four.

I’m guessing this throws a monkey wrench into their plans because they probably wanted to have Rice, the lame duck, coach next season in whatever they’re calling this conference and then make somewhat of a splash hire before they start the B1G, which is probably why Pernetti didn't fire Rice when he first saw the tape. Now they have to can Rice, and maybe their AD, and pick from the coaching scrapheap with a scandal going on and have that likely crappy coach start the B1G, where they will get destroyed. Plus, they just lost Seagears, Kone, Vincent Garrett as transfers(and seniors Austin Johnson and Dane Miller), so there’s a lack of bodies that a coach with options is going to stay away from.

Last night they were saying Cox was going to bounce out of there, who is their best recruiter, so it’s a true mess for a team that was god awful to start with. On the brightside, they did beat Seton Hall this year and that means something.
